ISymphonic 50% off and all IAPs
For sale this week. All his apps and IAPs are half price
Anybody who has all the IAPs care to share what the best ones are or should we just buy them all ![]()

The Boato IAP is pretty good just for the Epic Drums! Check out TSTR videos, Doug has previewed all the IAP.
Oooh I feel some more iSymphonic packs then. Better delete to make some room lol
What a great way to start the week!
50% off, considering already had 50% (or more, highest price was $24,99).
Tried a test to bounce a GB project with isymphonic AU. It as expected fails to work. Dropped note city. Same as Colossus
Can you explain more on this. Is this a known issue?
I only used iSymphonic on one recent recording in AUM and all was smooth
Contemplating buying everything this guy makes
Just bought a few iSymphonic packs, heavy brass, and oriental strings
Might pick up colossus if Ravenscroft doesn’t go on sale
I’ve just tried three instances of iSymphonic in AUM all controlled by instances of Odessa Rhythm! Works fine, but crashes if you try to change samples while playing
I bought colossus piano some time ago. Worked fine while composing in AU. But in every AU host I tried on multiple iPads nothing will render or bounce to tracks. Developer said unable to reproduce.
I held off on isymphonic thinking it was an engine issue. But Hey it’s on sale so why not. Downloaded it, recorded one string track in GB. Tried to bounce it and yep notes drop out and stutter.
Can you do jazzy stuff with Heavy Brass? Or is more of an orchestral brass section? Man I am going to be broke after this week.
Well, its got a Sax that sounds suitable for the purpose to my ears. Just picked it up, along with the crudebyte bundle and most of the iSymphonic IAP .. No doubt about being broke man
All the apps that were on top of my black friday wishlist happened to be on sale today (Sugar Bytes & Crudebytes) so I went all in and my wallet ‘bytes’ the dust.
@AnimalHeadSpirit Thank you. Sounds promising. I think I am going to pick up this and iSymphonic Orchestra. I will check some Dougie Demos too, of course. Enjoy your new toys! You picked up some fun-looking stuff!
Heavy brass is very ok for jazz kind of blue...but not for iPhone yet:-(...looking forward for universal...
I just tried exporting from GB to AudioShare a little 8 bar string part recorded iSymphonic, and damn you are right I had the same experience. Dropped notes and little half notes...
The screenshots look like amateur hour
Yep. I really doubt the AU bounces for anyone on the planet. Would love to be proven wrong
EDIT: for the first time in history I requested and was granted a refund.
I understand that it is annoying when a feature does not work, but this thing sounds fabulous. Why not just keep it and record it via IAA?
guess I’m going to hold off on more packs, damn that’s weak
Was stoked on the iSymphonic at first
Couldn’t get a midi tr ack to freeze without clicks in audio cubasis
Just tried Heavy Brass and seemed to freeze fine
I had to bite at a few of these, especially the Harp, Harpsichord, etc. pack at 4.99.
Being in Varsity & Concert band all the way through high school I love having access to some of these sounds individually, not just in a standard MIDI "Brass" or "Strings" patch.
I played snare drum & quads in marching band and for sophomore year on I started playing the baritone horn, often called the euphonium. It's fingering was just like that of treble clef trumpet & I loved how dulcet and warm it sounded. I couldn't afford one so getting the euphonium in the Cupra Brass pack & all those other individual brass instruments is so cool.
Just like having individual tracks for kick, snare, hats, etc. makes drums sound more clean & impactful with greater mix flexibility than just a stereo stem, brass & strings benefit from the separation. Instead of a chord pad using the "Baroque Orch" or whatever patch, use individual violin, cello & brass voices for each note and pan & EQ accordingly. Too often sampled string or brass instruments sound very fake & cheesy as a single track, grouped together in harmony & pads makes the realism can increase 5 fold.
Great deal!
Similar problems here when trying to bounce in GarageBand.
No problems like this with Poison-202, though.
Do the DMFF apps by Christian Siedschlag ever go on sale?
I went all in on AU some time ago. IAA in general was too problematic in Cubasis and in GarageBand it’s even more limited (can’t record MIDI)
The sounds aren’t worth it for me. I’d rather jump back to the desktop than wrassle with IAA ever again
I thinks it’s a conflict with their disk streaming technology and AU offline bounce
Heavy brass is all jazz r&b. Awesome.
@Pee102 @Pegleg85 Thanks for the input. Going to get that one next, just waiting for Orchestra and Oriental strings to finish downloding. They are huge and taking their sweet time.
@Masanga posted this on the cheapo Black Friday thread, but it should be repeated here I would think.
Also, I've just found that if you already have iSymphonic and Oriental Strings (and presumably if you've just bought them at the sale price), you can complete the Crudebyte Audio Apps bundle (normally £18.99 round these parts) to add CMP Grand Piano and iCathedral Organ for, erm, £0.51. I can't believe that's intended.
I don't know how to quote from a separate thread, but this should work.
Thanks @Masanga for the original post.
I bought this, but I've already uninstalled and will be getting a refund. There is overwhelming noise in some of the included presets, the tremolo strings for instance. I'm guessing it comes from poorly set loop points, but it could be aliasing I suppose. It's worst in the upper registers, a VERY loud flapping sound. iPad Air 2. Super disappointed.
Can you point to any specific presets? I’ve owned the base app for a while and never noticed this; I’d like to see if I can hear the same issue.
Yeah, I've deleted it now but I remember the tremolo strings were problematic. It's not the tremolo that is the problem, obviously, but there is significant noise in the upper registers. A loud flapping. There were several presets that were broken.
I was playing the on-screen keyboard, using the app stand-alone.
I guess I could try to reinstall. I'd like to know if you hear this noise, too.
Do the Grand Piano and the organ apps have user-defined scales measured in cents, the way iSymphonic and Oriental Strings do it?
How do feel about Colosuss Concert Grand IAP on sale for $23.99j vs Ravenscroft/Module Ivory/CMP?
My iPad has so many piano apps, I need piano movers to carry it around for me
