You definitely can use it for that but I'd say fiddlecator is lighter on resources. It can't do longer than a few seconds so it's less useful for reverb but it's great for speaker cab IR files, it's kind of designed for that sort of thing. Its free too.

  • You've been posting about this for several days now but haven't given any details about how you've been trying to do this. I don't have any IR files at the moment or (the time right now to try it myself) but I would try opening iFunbox and put the IR files in the Altispace documents folder.

  • You could also try Rooms or Mobile Convolution which are both convolution reverb apps.

  • Yeah I will have to try some other apps. I am just using some mesa cabs IRs.

    I run this in AUM.

Input signal > Tonestack with no cab > IR app.

I will take some screenshots of my Altispace and see if im doing something wrong.

  • It sounds like you can't figure out how to get the irf files into Altiverb. You could try to put them in iCloud or Dropbox and select one of them, then Export it and see if you can "Open in" and see if altiverb is one of the App choices in which case it should open in AV.
Again you're not giving any details how you are trying to get the IR files into AV so it's hard to help.

  • No sorry my mistake.

I use "Open In" to get the IR to the samples page in Altispace. Then I use the app to do its internal conversion process. Then I added a group to the device section called 4x12 and dropped my newly converted IR file into the group. Selected the new IR on the Device tab and then saved it as a preset.

Output level is way lower than output from fiddlicator and it sounds like it is kind of warbly.

I did realize that I had to dial the Dry Wet fader all the way to Wet but it still doesnt sound like a speaker cab. It sounds like it has some tremlo on it or something,.
