Oh yea, I do like the integration of Blocs and Launchpad, those work well together after you've got a track going. It’s the early stages of searching for “user samples” within Blocs that could be improved with: better sample organization options, files app integration, being able to use the discover option on your own samples (I’d pay a good amount for that).

Still love this app, but don’t use it enough because I can’t smoothly integrate/sort/retrieve my sounds with the Blocs packs I bought (all). How about files app integration?

If you load up all the sounds from one of your Blocs Wave libraries into a song and touch the "Share" button you can transfer them all to Launchpad. They will all be in the Launchpad pads, but maybe not in a layout that will make sense to you. But it doesn't work the same as when you load your own samples and can place them wherever you want. And editing the sounds sends you back to Blocs, which may or may not be a good thing for you.

It's a much smoother transfer from Launchpad to Blocs Wave.

@AmpifyxNovation It would be great if a future version of Launchpad would allow you to reconfigure the pads after a transfer from Blocs. Or at least load them in a predictable way.

The sounds will be on pads in Launchpad depending on where they are within blocs, each section in blocs goes to the corresponding row in Launchpad, that's why there are 6 sections ;)
Use blocs to arrange the pads how you want, then send to Launchpad :)

  • Should mention, still big on all three... Feel dirty for just completing groovebox and nearly launchpad.

We've just released the Launchpad - Pro Features Collection for iPad . However, it might take some time to work it's way through the Apple Release process. Hopefully this should appear shortly.

Weird Novation says BF sales continues but I don't see the pro bundle as advertised and pictured here. Maybe they withdrew it or there's something with my launchpad app... Anybody a hint what is wrong here?

  • So it looks like the Pro Features Collection is $9.99. Is this a temporary Black Friday price or the standard price?

Click store, then add-on features. It’s the first selection

  • Is the $14.99 50% off?

It looks to be, but I thought it was much cheaper than that when it was announced.

  • Oh ok out of my range then, bummer :/

  • @AmpifyxNovation Weird I got the pro features work instant on IPad but they don't seem to be accesable for iPhone lik using your on samples, still says that I have to purchase that item using the same account. Do you have to buy the IAP's for iPhone and iPAd twice?

I never cared for IAP in BlocsWave or LaunchPad, but I thought GrooveBox to be the next Gadget, so initially bought each and any IAP!

Only to learn that it seems improbable that this thing ever get's proper MIDI In and Out to control other Synths and be controller by other sequencers.
Imagine even, this as full IAA and AU Host!
    Would be so great ...

So. It. Seems. Dead. To. Me. For. What. I. Would. Like. To. Do. With. It.

    As Auxy or Medly.
    Very sad thing.

I don't even care about the rocket scienceship, I just want to save my own presets, pan a little, and automate on occasion....

The Launchkey will work well with this Boss.

  • Wait, there’s no panning?

I am looking forward to Santa with more gusto than usual. Only problem is The Kid has made us promise NOT to wake him up before 10. Oh how the worm turns....

Where did you learn that? Have the devs said these features will definitely not appear?

I’d love Midi out for Groovebox.

Mine turned up today. ‘Next day delivery’ here seems to equal two hours to the local depot, then left in a corner for a month. Fortunately the girl next door was there picking up a package, and brought mine back too. Can’t open it til xmas, unless I want broken fingers.

I had a play with Blocs and Launchpad earlier, and imported a few Maschine loops from the desktop. Don’t normally use these, but the Launchkeys integration will make them quick and fun to fiddle about with, so I might get the IAP’s (not sound packs). Are they worth it? I can import from Blocs, so not sure if I need this in Launchpad as well...

  • Groovebox needs automation and a proper song mode to be useful for me. Right now it's just a fun occasional distraction.

Well, there's the import and then a bunch of FX's if memory serves. I have them and do fiddle like that from time to time, but rarely, HOWEVER I am not 'live' player. I guess the thing is: can you do all the effects fiddling via other things/keyboard etc? I thought the 'Pro' pack was on sale. Oh, I dunno, I'm a terrible person to ask. If it moves Nurse I must have it....I am looking forward to stories of what you make this Launchkey sing and dance that's fer sure.

I’ll probably use it mainly for desktop. Maschine is my DAW of choice, it works a bit with that, but if it’s too much hassle I might spend a bit more time with it in Logic and Live Lite.

I think it works well with iPad stuff, though anything but the small one needs a power supply (I’ve got the 49-er).

I’m just looking forward to putting a bit of movement into my recordings - a bit of knob twiddling and filter sweepage.

Anything is better than the Edirol brick I’ve got at the moment.

  • It’s saying the effects ‘pack’ is £14.99 and 50% off. Is it really normally £30?

Does the sample import allow you to import separate samples per pad? That might be worth getting - I can import samples via Blocs, but you’re limited to one file per row.

No. Beyond saving the entire song. This is a very sore point.
