iPad mini2 safe to update to iOS 11 ?

As the title suggests,
Will it slow It down, don't want to kill the pad and run like a snail....

    Audio apps works fine but surfing on internet is slower than iOS 10 (runs like a snail as you say), pretty annoying

    Can't decide if iOS update is worth it......

    I'm holding off for now. Really annoying that the update keeps downloading even though I've told it not to. Nearly 1.5GB of space. I don't have any space!

    my wife is using mini 2 and no problem.. everything runs smooth (of course she is not working with music apps, just classic email, browsing, facebook, youtube) .. she didn't noticed any slowdown after upgrade ..

    My sisters daughter runs iPad Mini 2 with the latest iOS11.x without any issues...
    (Heavy usage of GarageBand and painting apps and some games).

    Want at least another year from this pad.
    Got an mini 1 which is slow but using it with audiobus remote, still gives it life

    Same here. I have a Mini 2 with around 1.8gb of space left. Apple always pulls the dick move and downloads the latest iOS every year. It annoys the shit out of me. But I'll keep deleting the update until every single Mini 2 owner around here can say that there are no more issues whatsoever.

    iOS 11 on mini 2 is great. Battery life is improved despite the wifi and Bluetooth defaulting to on because Apple and icloud and wireless earbuds I guess. Make it a habit to keep your iPad on airplane mode when not using it.

    No issues here since upgrade to 11, aside from the fact the settings storage page now shows used space not free space, making it harder to figure out if there's space for a new app. Whoever decided that was a good move needs to actually try using an iPad constantly on the verge of running out of space!
