Waves iOS AU?
If Waves were to consider AU for iOS, which plugins would make the most sense? Asking for a friend

Codex !!!
yep.
CLA-2A and CLA-76
Seems unlikely waves will release any AU till they have seen how their collaboration with steinberg in Cubasis goes.
Just curious if there’s anywhere that reports US/worldwide sales numbers of the Cubasis app, say. I’ve always wondered how big the userbase group for making music on iOS actually is.
I actually started this thread based on an e-mail response I just got from them
PuigTec EQ
CLA-2A Compressor
Metafilter
Waves Tune

No matter of amount of users, but, the amount of people discovering iOS as an music making environment grows...
As long we can feel comfortable with higher price tag, the amount of effort will be position to iOS... Companies must earn money in some way, and, the big and competent companies out there will certainly join in if the money is right...
Korg is an acception though ;-)
Korg always had smart developement teams and immediately jumped the IOS train.
Not just to sell devices but also to gain hands-on experience in touch interfaces.
Waves is a different story - in Pro Tools and early PC stuff they gained some revenues, but soon everything was available as a crack, which almost sent them broke.
Today they have sale after sale after sale... but time didn't stand still and you don't re-invent the wheel anyway, so imho they are just good average today.
Regarding Korg they've had 'Touch VIew' on the Hi-End workstations for quite some time so the basic knowledge was gained even before the iPad came along
(I've always liked the sample-editing on the Korg touch-screens).
Cubasis makes money in several ways though
There’s what it makes in app and iap sales
Plus it helps sell steinberg/Yamaha hardware via Cubasis le
Plus it helps to lead people into the full desktop apps.
Waves Tune
agreed, but that was a way different kind of touch operation than the highly responsive and extremely versatile IOS world
I like their SSL stuff
Cubasis was like #4 in the music category for paid apps on the App Store this past week
The waves IAP are 10 years old plug-ins. Nothing special really.
I think they sound pretty good though.
Waves Tune, please!
There’s no decent pitch correction tool in iOS: Waves Tune would make a HUGE impact.
Agreed. We need a pitch correction tool on iOS badly
SSL Bundle, Classic Compressors Bundle, Scheps 73, the renaissance stuff is old but still good, I could go on but I would like to see these first.
Brauer Motion, Torque, SSL
I have a thing for TruVerb...because I’ve always wanted to make a mix that sounds like the “Language of Life” album by Everything But The Girl. It sounds very TruVerby to me
