New “Promotional” Video

For the last couple months I’ve been practicing creating different visuals for my original song “Dream” (composed in Garageband iOS )

This latest one is my most ambitious video thus far. I tried to make kind of cinematic :p

Honest critiques are welcome:

  • One word "Awesome!"

  • Tracks smoking hot.

  • Top drawer production, the only thing I would do different is put the track break near the end which would let the beat flow better as it just gets started then it breaks again.

    Another one word, "Fantastic"

Thanks I looked at it again and agree. I suppose I was too excited about throwing more dialog in. Next video I’ll be more mindful of the musical continuity

Just keep on doing what you're doing :)

I made a mistake with photography in the past and started to get too 'snowed in' into the technology and that practically killed all the spontaneity and 'fun' as I cared more about the technical quality of the pictures than their actual content.

This can easily happen with music apps on iOS as well and lead to severe case of app-o-holism...
(I was way more creative with the Amiga, ProTracker with a GSS-8(Sampler) and a Juno-106 processed thru cheap Zoom-1202 multi effects unit).

This also goes to show that GarageBand is a good tool for creating music but for a 'tech geek' like me who is too snowed in into the technicalities the limitations become 'problematic' (I'll just briefly mention that that lack of automation/controller editing in GarageBand is driving me nuts!). I love the sounds, love the touch-instruments and love the over all feel of of the app, especially live-loops. I don't find the 'walled garden' a problem as Import & Export work very well!

  • not my favourite genre, but really well done :+1:

iPhone 7plus for hotel room scene, you can see iPhone shadow on the door scene where the “waiter” walks in :s

The other shots are Canon 70d. I would have used it for everything but the battery died and it was iPhone to the rescue.

  • Very nice production right across the board! Really enjoyed this, congrats

Now that you mention it, my strange imagination just told me it's a strange plant or something :D

Not particularly mine either :D this is my first attempt at this genre. l’m more Latin Jazz, and Bolero etc. which makes me very happy for the Latin percussion and drummers recently added to GB...they sound really good.

  • This video and song are next level Awesome! B)
