  • ALL drums can be turned on and off individually

Now, from my perspective-- where this is clearly lacking (so far) is Indian, Middle Eastern, Chinese and Japanese percussion. That's not everything, but you can't have world percussion without at least that. There is definitely a leaning to Latin American percussion. There are only 4 African rhythms. But there's no question this is very useful. If you want to program a Bossa Nova beat--this will show you how.

And I'm curious as to what this app will become. As we know, they have to sell a lot to make it worth their while to put more time in it.

Comments

  • Definitely a bias towards latin music going on there. 39 Cuban rhythms and only 4 West Africans?? I mean ok Cuba has a very rich musical tradition but West Africa is huge and has a lot more diversity.
And the world is bigger than this.
Hmm. Not convinced for now, but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks!
