No it doesn't do any of that. You either sketch the song in Auxy and export the midi elsewhere or you finish it in Auxy. It does have background audio if you enable Ableton Link

Thanks guys, it is a shame about midi. I kinda gave up on that a while ago, I was spending too much time setting up, and not enough actual music making.
