Animoog Midi Volume CC#7 control?

Hey Guys,

I've set up virtual midi in Jam Maestro, and linked the mixer to the external apps via midi messages. To send volume control you have to send a midi volume message (CC 7), however Animoog doesn't seem to be responding at all to it (where as thumbjam does perfectly). Anyone here got any experience with midi and have any ideas or have successfully controlled animoogs volume via midi themselves? I came across this thread: http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=12435 which would seem to be exactly the answer I'm looking for but I cant see in the manual what its referring to, I'm assuming you have to someone link volume up to a trigger or something in animoog?

Any ideas welcome!

The only way I've achieved it is to go into the ENV/MOD tab and set Control to velocity (amount +100) and Destination to volume. (SOURCE just leave off). Then turn the VOL knob for the patch all the way down. Set your virtual source app to send volume. This works for me using Thumbjam as the keyboard with volume set to its X Axis.

Just tested it with Midi Studio, seems to work ok as well.

  • Cant seem to find the VOL knob ? do you mean DRIVE under the Filter section ? Any ideas what the MIDI CC MAPPING button works too btw? Think that could work?

    Cheers for your help !

  • The main vol knob to right of the keyboard. I believe animoog has a midi learn setting in the System tab.

Ahh, I dont have a vol knob to the right of the keyboard on the iPhone version. Assume you're using ipad?

  • If you're using the iPhone version, select the green arrow under record. This expands the keyboard and gives a few extra options including volume. Hope that helps.
