Ipad pro 12’ performance

Hi, anyone with pro 12’ that had air 2 , can evaluate the cpu improvement? Lets say How many instances of model 15 can u run? Air 2 (sometimes) chokes on one

Comments

  • No iPad Pro here, but I think that it has 4gb memory makes it better in opening more instances

  • iPad Pro FTW, I’m never going back to a Reggie iPad
Worth the money and upgrade for me.

  • Love the 12.9" (2017) pro.

However, performance has taken a step back with iOS 11.

There is lag between touch gestures, Video playback is pretty broken, battery gets guzzled super fast.

Love the screen estate of the pro and I'm sure iOS 11 will improve. Just a bit frustrating at the mo.

Not checked instances of Model 15, but can have a go later and report back.

  • 6 instances playing a 3-note chord with the default patch in AUM. After that I'm starting to get crackles. Buffer size 512, 2017 model 12.9".

What is the default patch (since Model 15 always load the last i used). Is it the single saw OSC patch?
That doesn´t sound really like the benchmarks promise. IOS might be already too bloated these days.
I still liked iOS 6 the most :)

No, it was the "Zowwpad" patch.

    Thanks for feedback!

Model 15 certainly is certainly bloated for sure

Like Siri would say „Sorry, i don‘t understand you“.
I don‘t think Model 15 is bloated. I just find it not very touch friendly at all (beside the Animoog Keys).
Animoog is the only real Moog touch screen synth.

10 channels in AUM (layr, 3x zeeon, mood, 4x rozeta, ruismaker, eos2, fac chorus)

    CPU is around 60% (12.9“ mk1)

  • @Cib
how many m15's can you run at 128 or 256? do you know any other synth that the ui gets a buffer spin when switching? bloated. but i watch a promo vid other day by moog saying that they rewrote part of the code for animoog after it had been out for a while. so maybe it'll shed a few pounds ;)

    3xM15@256 without crackles
