Hello everyone:

I've loved being a part of this forum and group of creatives. I've been inspired, informed and influenced on so many levels. Over the last two years of exploring the mobile and desktop music space I have grown quite a bit. Today, I compiled a handful of tracks which I've grown a fondness for. While it's been hard to "trim the fat" as they say, what I've compiled today feels like a good cross section of the work I've created to date. I may take the knife to the track list over the coming weeks, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this great forum...and thank you to all the great app developers who have made this all possible.

With that...I present my humble little Album....Silence+Echoes:

Thanks in advance for listening.

Cheers,

  • Congrats on this release. As to the question...It’s an album if you claim it as such! But for me, I put my “albums” on Bandcamp, and miscellaneous stuff on SoundCloud. With Bandcamp it feels, to me, more like an album since I can create album art and have a nice bit of text for the album and for songs as well. And everything is easily accessible (and it’s free like SoundCloud).

As to the sounds...very nice. The first couple of tracks sound really good to my ears. Hope to check out more later on.

  • Thank you. That's a great idea. I think I will move a version of it over to Bandcamp over the next couple weeks.

Thanks for giving it a listen...it's been a fun 2 years of noodling, experimenting and learning :)

  • Echo, I'm still listening. But this is right up my alley. I really like this, and I find it of a piece with the stuff I'm bouncing around to on Spotify when I'm writing. In other words, it's a success, but I'll try to give you a more complete thought later on.
    It's also inspiring.

Thanks. I really appreciate that. I'm going for "flow" music to listen to while working, writing, being creative...stuff to provide ambiance in the background...

Congratulations! 23 songs is more like a double album or box set! It’s not the kind of music I would listen to, but I did listen to 5 or 6 tracks and the production and sounds are excellent. I’ll second the BandCamp suggestion and add that I used CD Baby to release my album. They got my work on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, You Tube, etc. It cost me about $130 to cover all the licensing, but I’ve more than made my money back. CD Baby also tracks sales and plays; it’s very easy, and I still get a little excited when I see that there a few people in countries around the world who listen on Spotify and Apple Music. Not sure how they find me, but it’s still cool. Thank you for the inspiration to work harder on my next one.

  • i listened to them all. all good

  • Yes, these are sounding good. Quick rundown of apps/process?

  • working my way through .. loving complexitee

  • Congratulations on completing.
It sounds good. Both the compositions and the production.

  • Sounds like superior soundtrack material, to me. The first tune, Saving Grace, had me imagining being aboard the Nostromo.

  • Thanks everyone for listening and the advice and motivation to take the next step to get it on to Bandcamp.

    I really appreciate it. <3

  • Okie Dokie...it's on Bandcamp now....Now to post it to Spotify and the rest of the services :)

  • Congrats! Haven’t listened to it all yet, but I’m really liking “When We Were Afloat”. That and a beer was an enjoyable 15 minutes.

It should be populating to Spotify shortly as well if you use that Service....It's also on Google Play and Amazon if anyone uses those services. Thanks as always!
