Midi Guitar 2/ Klevgrand Syndtsphere

Sort of OT but sorta not. For those of you that use Midi Guitar 2 with your PC or Mac as a standalone host or as a plugin in your DAW, I recently purchased the newest version of Midi Guitar and had downloaded Klevgrands free AU/VST version of Syndtsphere for my Mac. What a great way of dialing in usable sounds into Midi Guitar. The sorta not OT part is I was wondering if anybody had tried this with the IOS version of Midi Guitar 2. I would think that it works as well but I haven’t yet purchased the IOS version of Syndtshere. Anybody?
The downside of IOS Midi Guitar 2 is that it still doesn’t support Audiobus or IOS AudioUnits.

I was playing Zeeon thru MIDI guitar 2 just earlier today. Set MIDI guitar 2 output to virtual MIDI and then it should appear as a routing option in AUM for any Audio Unit.

Edit: I didn’t see that you wanted to use it through Audiobus. I’m not sure if that is possible, which is just one more reason to prefer AUM over Audiobus.

I’ll see if I can try to get it working with Audiobus 3.

Edit: I believe the only way is to use Midiflow adapter.

Midiflow Adapter (Audiobus) by Johannes Doerr

Which is a only a couple bucks and cheaper than AUM. Still recommend AUM for the long run.

Edit 33: sorry it didn’t link to the App Store, I copied straight from the app. You’ll just have to search for it.

Thanks! Your instructions helped a lot. I still don't have my head wrapped around the whole MIDI thing, but I'm getting there.

  • No prob! It takes some time.
