REMAKE & Fat Lady Dist & Warm Distortion AUv3 Effects-First Impressions...
Hi Guys, the dev @Alex_bialamusic creator of the Fat Lady AUv3 distortion effects was so kind to share with me a promo code for providing some honest feedback on this effect.
I’m a guitar player so all my tones, i try my best to recreate as close as possible my effects pedalboard setup.
In this audio sample i used the Fat Lady Distortion in a lightly overdriven setup. I’m not looking for over the top distortion, or metal type distortion but something that has grit, but at the same time is playable and transparent.
To my ears, this pedal has it. I love how simple it is to dial just the right amount of distortion and overdrive. I really really like it and highly recommend it for anyone looking for this type of effect. What’s so cool is that it is AU so you can use it in many tracks inside AUM.
For the guitars i used ChordUP for strumming and Sampletank Clean Electric Strat Guitar preset.
Impressed on the tone i was getting and I was also applying modulation delay via Dubstation 2 and Reverb via EOS2. All was done on the iPhone SE. Short audio clip below:

Again, i highly recommend this audio effect for electric guitar players or even synth players to get creative tones!

That's a nice sound you got. But — that wasn't an electric guitar? That was from Chordup?? Or am I reading that wrong?
ChordUP is only being used as a midi controller. It has a feature to be able to strum virtual strings. I love it and it really allows for some really good strumming on the iPhone. So the midi data from the strumming is sent to Sampletank via AUM where it is being hosted. There i apply the additional modulation effects. The Strat clean Electric guitar sound is being put out by Sampletank Clean strat preset.
Thanks for the track example, but meh. FuzzPlus 3 is completely free.
I have been playing around with Fat Lady and Warm Fuzz and they both sound really good and complement each other well. Tried them in Garage Band and in AUM with Guitar Capo+. They work perfectly in both hosts from what I can tell. @oat_phipps I totally get what you are saying here about FuzzPlus 3, though I am one who likes a variety of distortion pedals and the different tones they each provide. Yeah it's all just distortion, but you could say the same about delays, choruses, etc, and I like to have a variety of those too. I honestly don't think I could have too many of any type of effect.
Here another clip for the Warm Distortion AUv3 Effect. It’s a little smoother to my ears compared to Fat Lady but also similar. I guess one can have two Distortion effects as I have on my pedal board just applies different stages of distortion but over all I like this one a lot too! Really easy to dial in something you can use in a track and I can imagine applying Fabfilters on these!
I highly recommend this app also!

I was able to check out Remake AUv3 Effect and it blew me away!! I really like this one a lot man. It adds like a shimmering, or hard to describe type of effect, which is nothing like i tried before, sort of like a pitch shift but it does it in a unique way. Really tasty!
I ran it through EOS2 reverb and Dubstation2. It really adds a different dimension to your tone. I guess, I should have read what this one does from the description, but i just jumped into it and added it to the effects chain in AUM. WOW! really nice tone. With ChordUp is super easy to transpose on the fly on the iPhone SE, it perfectly made for my needs. I can’t wait to do a sample with all three effects in the same chain. Maybe later on. But i highly recommend this effect for adding that extra shimmer, I don’t know, that nice tone to any rythmn guitar or even leads. But I love how crisp and clear it is.
Also, i didn’t really pay too much attention to the CPU as I was really enjoying these effects. Honestly, i’m Going to be using these mostly for any of my guitar tracks as i know i can dial in my tone in them. And they’re, really easy to use.
Here is the Remake AUv3 effects clip:
These effects are pretty unique, almost like they’re made to fit the taste of a particular electric guitarist. I know the Dev plays guitar so maybe he made them according to his taste. I know they sound exactly how i would like my own custom made pedals made to sound, so that’s why they clicked with me right away!
I have a Jeckyl & Hyde, OCD, and American by Joyo distortion pedals, they all add different stages of distortion, overdrive when then all go into my volume pedal into my Zoom G3 where I can have up to 6 pedals at once playing. I use the G3 mostly for all my modulation effects and reverb, it is super amazing for that! So like I said, these AU effects sound more like custome made pedal effects, which sound so nice to my ears, even while just playing them through an app like ChordUp and Sampletank Electric Strat Preset. What an amazing world! God, thank God I’m alive to be able to do this during my lunch time all on an iPhone SE, amazing!
