I just recently got into ios music making, but so far I'd have to go with Thumbjam. I have had loads of fun with my limited skills.
TC-11. Eerrr-ummmm, geosynth. Hmmmmm, naaah TC-11!
Got BM3, got Zeeon synth and Audulus, but in fact the most surprising revelation that I have a lot more fun with than I thought is Korg's iWavestation.
I didn't expect to get all kinds of Roland D50-like sounds out of it, apart from being able to create inspiring rhythmic compositions. The synth engine is much more limited than on the D-50, but the vast number of looped pcm waves can compensate for that quite well.
Xequence
Beathawk ...Music making couldn't be more easier .. can make music on the go
Fablfilter's (I brought Auria for Fab filters only)
Oh hang on, Troublemaker was released in 2017?? Damn, I’ve bought a lot of apps this year...
Sorry Quantum, Troublemaker it is!
Aciiiieeeeeed!!!
AUM has opened new doors for me.
I also love my new Zoom U-44
Interesting. And good for you that you have found something that is that useful. Would you say it's pretty easy to get functional with (I know little about the app....)?
Good morning
And that’s a bad thing?
Beatmaker3
Multitrackstudio. For the midi editing bliss.
I would have said BM3 at one stage, but having some frustrating midi times with it, so:
Rozeta! Even though I really can’t get used to the change in name, I love the app. I really believe AU midi apps are going to be great once more hosts bring them onboard.
Well done @brambos I really thought you would not better Phasemaker as your best app IMO, yet Rozeta has done such a feat!
Brambos,Audiodamage,klevgränd..... i think theese made this year. but that is just the top of the iceberg..
Groovebox
LayR - the most flexible synth in the toolbox - and fairly easy to program once you get the hang of it.
New GarageBand did it for me. Some strong other contenders though.
BM3, no other iOS app has pulled me in for long and productive sessions.
Same here, 'cept I'm a guitar man. I never really "got" the sample thing until I started digging into BM3. It's opened up many new creative avenues for me to explore.
I would have to also go with Beatonal.
Never a fan of Figure, but like the Beatonal workflow.
All right, you Beatonal folks: Have you got any finished, semi-finished Beatonal tracks? Even a loop that is used elsewhere? I find it totally chamless, but clearly I'm in the minority.
Ableton Live
Ha ha, okay sorry:
Blocs Wave
Zeeon. Synth lust was cured by it.
Not yet. Like Figure, you save everything in loops so it's a matter of putting them together elsewhere. It did take a while to grow on me. I noticed a lot of the synth controls respond well to subtle tweaking, like they have a pretty big range built in. But you have the synth stuff, reverb, delay, and an eq on each track and it seems best results are achieved by utilizing everything. The presets are absolutely terrible. It doesn't strike me as being something for everyone, but I guess the the best way to get to know it is to spend quality time programming the synth while patterns play
I was intrigued by the flexibility but put off by the presets and the hideous UI. Maybe I'll reinstall....
Hehe yah, I love it when an app so clearly raises the bar and clears the chaff.
See if this works, apparently you can share tracks with a URL. So you copy this to clipboard and then there's a button in Beatonal to load from clipboard

Well, I clicked on that intimidating link and now it seems that I have taken over the computer systems of a North Carolina town.
Surprised I’m the only Rozeta vote so far...
