it's good, especially the sounds I find quite close to the original I have sitting next to me. Some features are missing, for example you cannot switch sounds in LT, MT, HT, RS, CP, and no decay trim pot for CH. Maybe I just haven't discovered how to do this, maybe it will come with an update, I don't know.
Programming is the same as in the original. With all its advantages and disadvantages. The pad matrix is not for programming patterns, it's for song programming. This is a bit difficult to do with the original, usually I have a sheet of paper as a help. But here it should be easier to do.
Many iMusicians already have beatbox apps with TR-808 sounds, so it's questionable for many to get EGDR-808. I like it because I'm used to this kind of programming, and because I can edit the sounds. I can work just like with the original, and I like that.
And this TR-808 compared with Rebirth?
nice suprise,i deleted it a long time ago cause i thought it would never get at least Midi.But with Midi(sync?) and audiobus i have to give it another chance
not sure either about MIDI sync. I guess not. Tried to sync it with Funkbox but no reaction. I think it's a standalone beatbox that you can run with Audiobus, and record with the same BPM value.
But I'm interested in syncing on and with the iPad. If someone knows a trick ...

About MIDI sync what you exactly mean ? At the moment you can send virtual MIDI output from other apps or over network as you can see in this video
I've tried to send output midi from other apps like n-Track studio, DM1 or magellan without problems (you must set the midi channel to 10).

General MIDI convention, drums on channel 10. Kinda makes sense I guess.
ah yes, I was able to trigger some sounds with littlemidi (sequencer app) using MIDI channel 10. Nice.
What I was trying before was to sync EGDR808 with MIDI clock.

"submitted"means its in apples hands now but not yet released.Usually takes 10-12 days until it shows up in the app store.

liking the update. seems to have fixed the distortion i experienced on ipad.
one other thing needs fixing ... when using the newly implemented switch to alternate between instruments say RS to CL the selected instrument on the upper level does not change colour to orange. so you are never quite sure which instrument is selected.

Saw that! Got it to work with IAA. I like this app for two reasons: (1) Universal, so it works on iPhone; (2) allows you to tune the bass drum for some mean sounding sub bass frequencies.
Is there a way to AudioCopy and bounce measure-sized loops, or can you only live record a clip and then trim it with some other program (like AudioShare)?
@StormJH1 when you record a loop from within the app it's already measure-sized (except the end or the cymbals tails will be trimmed). Then you can audio copy them from the app audio clip browser (you have to click on the save button to access the presets-audio browser)
