Psytrance. Fully IPad!

Hi guys, anyone who is into psytrance - have a listen.
Fully done on an IPad. No master yet.
Apps used: Cubasis, Kauldron, Z3ta+, Sunrizer, Addictive Pro, Eos2, Laplace, FuzzPlus3, Dubstation, RoughRider2.

I’m not even sure what psytrance is but that sounded like it was fun to make.

you need work little bit more on kick (it is too much dull, it is missing that classic aggresive tick and also punch, and on bass - that bass is missing typical deep darkpsy color)

plus a bit more work on track progress... but first you need do kick/bass right.. keep working

@Keenan i guess it was mentiomed to sound like darkpsy, which is dark techno influenced subgenre of psytrance, check youtube for projecs like Kindzadza, Ocelot, Electrypnose, Baphomet Engine

yeah Ovnimoon is more melodic type than those darkpsy projects i mentioned above... He have great tracks, for me best is album "Magnetic Portal" (btw i like Ovnimoon also because he released few my tracks on one of his sublabels ha ha ha :-))))

Great so called "fullon" psytrance od also Spirit Architect - great melodies, tracks full of dance energy..

It was m second attempt at Dark-Hi but yeah, I get what you are saying. Plus I‘m missing some parts that connect everything
It‘s a bit fast straight-forward and changing into something smoother.

Regarding the Kick and Bass - I‘ll test something tomorrow regarding the punch. But I don’t know how I should give it more click without changing the overall tone of my kick

Personally I love Technical Hitch, Khaos Sector, Dark Whisper, Megalopsy, Iron Madness. That’s only the darker stuff

try change kick completely... try make kick in Waldorf Attack, i got some pretty great psy kicks from it... for bass use just single saw oscillator, very lowpass filtered, with very short filter envelope decay and sustain set to almost zero... not much envelope amount, just to get a bit "tick" transient on bass beginning, darkpsy bases are usually very filtered, not so "jumpimg" like in fullon, but still needs to be clearly identified as typícal psy bass

Thanks, I‘ll try it later. Just had some fun in Ruismaker FM. It does sound a bit different and more clicky. Have to take a listen how it sounds. But everyone wants to sleep

Fullon basses are normally very toney too. Not just the same note everytime.
Yeah, regarding my bass, I don’t know what really happened. It sounds like a small kick just a bit more repeating.
I have a track that’s more evolving too and the kick and bass are just perfect according to some people. Will probably upload that one too, it’s typical twilight. But I don’t know yet. Maybe it’s for labels, have to decide yet

Will check back as soon as something major changed

I’m no pro, but maybe the kick just needs to be turned up? Or the whole mix just needs the bass turned up—feels like a high pass Filter is on or something. Maybe check your final mix against a popular track in an EQ with an analyzer like GarageBand or Bark Filter, to see how your bottom end compares.

Nice gentle ballad... tried dancing to it and smashed the kitchen up... now have a court injunction not to go near the property and lacerated arms....

Yeah I highpassed everything at 40 because I listened to it on a PA and it shook the basement, haha
