FM player going a bit crazy in Cubasis

edited December 2017 in General App Discussion

Fm player is loaded as a iaa instrument on a midi track in Cubasis, playing the keys in Cubasis causes fm player to go a bit crazy playing notes.
Anyone else experience this?

Yes. There is an infinite MIDI loop with FM Player & Cubasis. i.e. MIDI Passes through FM Player, back into Cubasis, back into FM Player. For those who want a workaround:

    (1) In Cubasis, go to the "Routing" section on the left-hand side.
    (2) Choose "None" instead of "All inputs" for the MIDI Inputs.
    (3) Close and restart both apps.

You can still use MIDI In with Cubasis if you choose an input port that is not broadcasting to FM Player.

    Thank you for your patience!

In good news: It looks like Doug was able to get FM Player to work with Cubasis in his new video. He's using Cubasis/FMPlayer with AudioBus 3.

  • Yeah, that works great. AB3 doesn’t seem to be required. Thanks.
