Fastest way to get midi from Logic to iOS and back.
So i´m still on macOS Sierra (and don´t plan to update to High Sierra anytime soon).
I would like to use Cthulhu (a MIDI FX from X-fer, the Serum developer) to drive some iOS apps and send the audio back to Logic and record it there. I have no audio interface or whatever. Is there an app/software which might do this with usable latency?
I just would like to stay on Sierra and use the lightning to usb-cable to connect my iPhone only. I know i get audio easy in but i failed with this configuration.
Thank´s.

yeah, use IDAM, but you are going to be missing a bunch of patches if you stay back on sierra.
go to the audio midi setup app, enable the ios device, then use the new IDAM midi port
Thank´s i will try that. It might be that some of my tools are not ready for High Sierra and i also have no space left to download it even. My system works great so far and i think i won´t update further. I anyway plan to buy a new macbook pro maybe if they make a real pro one again in 2018
Oh, i even don´t know what IDAM is yet lol.
Would Studiomux fit the bill?
(in case you went the safe way and didn't update to iOS11 yet)
.
idam is inter device audio and midi, apples built in virtual audio/midi interface.
when you enable it there will be a new midi port created. on the ios device it will be called "idam midi host" and on the mac it will have the name of your ios device.
when i used it with sierra, i never had a problem with midi. for me it never worked for audio until latest high sierra.
So, what advantages would one get with High Sierra over Sierra? Will IDAM work better? Maybe less latency?
