Sebastian, you are a genius who figured out how to make the iOS music making apps play all nicely together. That first iOS Audiobus app changed my life. Being disabled, it opened up a whole new world for me and turned me into a bedroom music producer. AB allowed me to play my iOS synths (something I could never dream of owning or achieving before iOS) and then sync effects and also with other music apps and then record our little ditties. That innovation was a game changer for me. It helped me realize my musical dreams come true all whilst being disabled. Ten years ago, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought any of this even possible. So I heartily thank you for making my music making dreams come true! My hat is off to you! All the very best wishes to you and your future career path. I am certain that wherever you go, a man with your talents and vision will continue to change the world for the better. From the effects slot I can only echo the sentiments already so sincerely expressed. You've helped broker a change in how people can (and do) make music, but you've also helped foster a very real and unexpected community. Whatever else you do, don't underestimate both those things as the significant achievements they are.
Sebastian sir, you are responsible for creating and developing not only a game changing app, but laying the groundwork for the thriving iOS music industry and community that exists now. The cooperation of developers with each other to iron out the details, and the amicable spirit that is prevalent and unique to iOS music is due in large part to you being there, saying the right things to the right people in the right way. I remember a forum conversation in the first weeks after AB was released with someone who was disgruntled with the app, and you went to great lengths to explain the underlying idea of unity, getting apps to work in harmony together. Audiobus is unlike anything on Mac or PC in that respect. Cheers to you Sebastian, you are kind of the philosopher king of iOS. Your vision of unity set the stage for really nice things like the benefit album for Doug. That’s not a stretch - we could have become a disjointed pile of alienating separatists like other places on the web but we’re not, due to this forum. Not many people can list “I created a worldwide culture” on their resume. We owe you, I just wish there was some way we could all do something great to pay you back for the awesomeness you’ve given us. Thanks again.
