Final Touch on sale $2.99 (reg. $19.99)

Comments

  • I’ve never tried it on individual tracks, but the compressor alone is probably worth $2.99.

  • Is this worth it even still? So many reviews mention it crashing... :# I don’t know, but I’ve always wanted this or something like it

  • The mid-side stuff can be useful.

  • The stereo spatial stuff is decent. I bought this a long time ago when it was on sale that time too. It did crash a lot back then, but the last few times I played with it seemed pretty stable.

I think it’s a pretty sweet buy at $2.99, but I rarely use it either. It’d be cool as an AUv3

  • I got it quite awhile ago at $1.99. Maybe even $0.99. Why not! It was so cheap!!

Explored a bit without crashes but never finalized anything. That task belongs to Auria Pro and her FabFilter Friends!

  • You can achieve good and even great results with Final Touch.

EQ has a good sound, same is true for the compressor. Reverb (we can discuss how helpful a reverb is for mastering) is'nt very impressive, but still useful as a tool to "glue" a track a bit together.

But don't forget the main tool here are your ears.

  • It's great!

it's by Positive Grid so it's meant to be crashing as the rest of their 'work'...

  • Never had a crash. Maybe it's because i am still using 10.3.3.

  • I use it, enjoy it, and have never had a crash.

  • It gets good results just have issues with IAA and AB2 still.

    Same here.
I get some decent results out of it, good deal.

  • If anyone is experience app crashes shortly after launch, I discovered the app crashes with my iPhone 7 lightning headphones plugged in. I think this may be related to it not being able to handle the 48K sample rate that the iPad is forced into when lightning headphones are plugged in.

If you’re getting such crashes, you might need to load AUM or some other app that can force 44K.

  • For EDM I’m not so sure. For natural instruments like guitars and drums definitely a good especially on sale. And it’s enjoyable to use but you’ll have to get used to experimenting a lot. Not sure if Cubasis Waves plug-ins are better than this or not since I’ve not bought those.

  • It’s reluctant to launch in AB3 for some reason. Just do the open in background thing, then it will open right up in the effects slot. No crashes for me when I did it this way. Absolutely worth the 3 bucks.
