Reactable could really use some of those on-screen little magnet things that allow you to interact with the app. I remember being so blown away by the magic of the actual table with the physical widgets that you could move and rotate. The app just never gave me the same feeling.
I skipped fast food today and bought reactable mobile for lunch. For a while it had me wanting to tear my hair out, but I figured it out enough to be highly impressed so far. I've imported my own guitar, bass and drum samples onto tables and then I've been bouncing them against each other to get surprisingly tight and coherent and weirdly syncopated patterns that no human band would or could play. It's all my original recordings, but I can't really take any credit for the outcome that the app throws back at me. The knobs can be double tapped to lock and rotate for different outcomes. I'm still unsure about how to control everything. I haven't even tried the internal sounds or messed with the community shared tables. From my angle any app that can take my recordings and turn them into something new is worth the download. In this case the something new actually makes sense instead of sounding like random chaos. I'm not opposed to random chaos, but it's easier.
On sale again and updated to 2.3.0

I agree. I also think that because the original idea comes from pre ios music time it would have more impact then. I had it on my ipad for a couple of weeks but then uninstalled it. I think it would make more sense on a wider screen, say 15".
