Reminds of a beatstep!

As an owner of a beatstep pro this definitely looks like a clone. How is it supporting older iOS versions though ? I assumed 32bit apps couldn't release anymore...
No out support standalone and hardware only.
Woa. If you want it, better grab it. I can't imagine Arturia will let that last for long.
From the app store:
Which could just as easily be:
Pitch, gate and velocity per track? Yup.
Nevermind the UI 'similarities'. Though, the developer is French (like Arturia). Maybe it was his idea to begin with and he can do what he wants?
Even the things that could be done much more fluidly via software/touch interface (like step velocity or gate) is done like it is on the BSP though without the benefit of 16 knobs.
What it sounds like is Art Kerns midiStep, which also has per step pitch gate and velocity...

Additionally MidiStep has 4 tracks, AUx instrument hosting etc etc...
What? Endangered and potentially piratey? Must be a must have surely....:)
And in MIDISteps all tracks are polyphonic and there are lots of built in tools for shifting (etc), randomization, 3 CCs per track, visual step editing, transposition...
The only thing this app seems to have over MIDISteps is the 808 style drum channel from the BSP.
iOS 5.1.1 (And with it, iPad 1 support) is a reason to buy alone!
Yep the drums...that would be the clincher for this one, the workaround for stacking drum hits in a single track in midisteps is tricky
@Littlewoodg yeah. I've done chords-as-drum-tracks in mSteps a few times but only because I could/as an experiment/just a kick+snare 4/4 pattern. It's not terribly fun and it's pretty inflexible (no late hats, etc). Same with Quantum, really. Both understandable, of course, as they weren't at all built for that. Drum grids are good things!
midisteps doesn't do triplets
I don't think midisteps has sequence chaining though does it ? It's the main reason I stopped using midisteps since my beatstep just does....
It doesn't. Nor triplets without doing clock/step-count shenanigans.
What do you mean by "copy from appstore does not work" ?
Do you mean that it crashes or that it does not support Audiobus ?
It is still perfectly possible to release 32 bits versions of an application. It works in the other way in fact : you can't release anymore "32 bits only" products. You must release either "32/64 bits versions" or "64 bits only versions", but you can still create apps which run on 32 bits iPads
Why do you think that? The app emulates an hardware product, with its own internal engine, completely written from scratch. There is no patent or intellectual property infringement when you do that.
He meant the link to view/buy your app in the AppStore couldn’t be copied to his post here...
This one is looking cooler and cooler, then.
Yes there is. Not saying it applies in this case but it’s very common for companies to have ‘design patents’ meaning you can’t copy exactly how a product looks. Even when it’s software emulating hardware.
