    Cyklop...

    Ha me too

  • Nanostudio 2, only because it’s unreleased. I’m looking forward to it being released, most likely first quarter next year. ;) Meantime, Gadget’s my main creation environment.

Mitosynth. Only because then I'd have to start a new homepage and break my perfect app layout. And it's a bit too pricey to buy just to try it and decide later I won't use it.

Far be it from me to disturb anyone's aesthetic order, but you would use it. Trust me.

    Ok then

OK, you are speaking about Nave. Same situation here. I am just waiting for a price reduction.

Nave for sure. Sitting on my wishlist for so long :)

  • Soft Drummer, Middle East Drummer, the PPG apps. As none of them ever have sales I have waited for when I need to pull the trigger for an actual need (not just "want") and there seems to be no shortage of new apps, or sales, being released that eat up my monthly app budget, so never got around to the apps mentioned.

  • In addition to Cyklop as mentioned i think Syntronik and Auria Pro with all IAPs is on the list but at no priority what so ever...

GeoShred, too, but I'm feeling like I'm about to give in. I'm maybe 1 or 2 enthusiastic endorsements away.

GeoShred is way deeper than I thought it was, I resisted forever and finally gave in months ago, no regrets.

So intuitive, I was probably a little put off by the, IMO, unnecessary UI glitz and Rudessisms but it's a really fine thing once you look past that.

Check out the YouTube Application Note vids:

On Topic: I still don't have Mood ... I know, I know. Also the new groovebox thing has failed to light my fire despite being a fan of the Poison 202 synth. Just don't think I'll gel with that workflow.

  • Mazetools Soniface. Interesting interface and sounds, but I really need Ableton Link and exporting.

  • Korg iMono/Poly

  • The one that will make me sound musical. Not sure if any devs are up for that challenge.

Not that my endorsement is everything or anything but regardless of what you might think of the apps esthetic it is VERY expressive and fun as heck to play!

Easy does it, friend. The walls have ears you know.

    Edit: on second thought... ;)

You'll all be pre-ordering the legendary iCBM app then.

  • If you can’t pull the trigger, either you don’t need it or you don’t have enough information on what it does and how it works

Or you spent too much on vsts and dental this year.

True, I’d always consider dental a more-needed and worthier purchase than apps. And VST is personal preference I suppose. I’ll try to stop speaking from my vacuum.

I wish! Don't have the bank right now because I'm also saving up for my own communications satellite. Was hoping SpaceX would have a sweet holiday special for satellite launches in the upcoming year. ;)

VST is simply because they are not on iOS yet. Maybe AUv5 or 6

  • @TheVimFuego @audiblevideo Thank you both. :+1: I'm completely sold.

  • DrumPerfect Pro, Phonem, Nave and LayR are on my wishlist for quite a while now, all a bit pricey and the feel of needing them is not strong enough to justify the cost

    There it is.

  • Geoshred - I don't like the iPad as a controller and the graphics turn me off.
Soft Drummer/Mid-East Drums - too many other apps that are on sale, but at some point I'll break down and pull the trigger
Ravenscroft/Colossus Piano - I can mask my limited keyboard skills on anything but a piano. It shows off everything I suck at. And also - price

  • None, really. Or tons and tons, depending on the day. I'm pretty good at not buying the-new-shiny these days but that doesn't mean I don't feel the drag of many. Lots of new interesting apps have come out over the last few weeks that I'm keen to play with but I'm not jonesing because I already have ~2300% of the apps I could ever meaningfully use. If I'm really jonesing for something for more than a while, I just get it. Sort of a mental trade off/payback for not buying all the thingz anymore.

Future/Rock or Funk Drummer. Finally pulled the trigger for Soft Drummer, but figured I'd wait for a sale on the others, even if it takes an eternity. ;)

That's pretty much where I've settled in, too.

I bought Nave back in X-mas 2013 for $12, plus I bought with iTunes credit (which were more generous and plentiful, at the time). I have no regrets, but seeing as it hasn't had a discount in 3 years and an update in 2 years, I get the reluctance. Attack Drums has been similarly neglected, so I think it's safe to say Waldorf isn't serious about iOS. Thankfully, there are plenty of alternatives.

  • All the FabFilter plugins just cuz they ar so beautiful. Not pulling the trigger cuz I never produce anything  anymore.

  • Mine is probably Nave. Waiting for a sign from Waldorf that it’s not abandonware. Did buy Z3TA+ between the time it was updated and the announcement that Cakewalk was no longer a thing.

Since @Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr mentioned MPE, it might be useful to mention Roger Linn’s list of MPE synths. SynthMaster Player from KV331 Audio is part of that list and the desktop versions are shaping up rather nicely. @realdavidai recently said we might expect more iOS offerings come NAMM2018.

In a way, this thread made me pull the trigger on Mitosynth. Hasn’t been on discount since 2014, but it was recently updated. Still not clear on the wavetable support, but it does have a nice overall feel to it.

Otherwise, my AppShopper and Discchord wishlists do include multiple apps which could make their way into my iOS devices if the price is right or if some key feature is added.

But the latest round of sales had me buy quite a few iOS musicking apps. Didn’t spend that much time with them, yet, being busy playing with some of my desktop purchases (including a couple of MPE-friendly synths).

  • Dhalang - I want to believe but I’m not sure I’m smart enough.

Thanks for the list. I should also thank @Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr for the GeoShred nod. :)

I've got some MPE stuff, but I've only read about it. TBH, I just don't feel like dealing with another standard that may or may not be widely implemented. There's enough hand wringing with AUv3 and VST3, for me.
