Workflow for using Lightpad M block with Noise as an AU inside of AUM ... ???

Hi all ... I’m trying to use the Lightpad M block along side of Noise within AUM, and getting an app like MF Scales to pick scales/octaves etc for the lightpad block.

Within AUM, I have the MF app set to the scale I want, getting midi FROM the Lightpad. But it seems that it’s not receiving anything. When I use the AUM keyboard it works fine, but that obviously misses the point ... Thanks for any help!
