I appreciate the Blue Period Picasso, but it's a little unclear exactly what a granular AU will do.

The above link is the one the dev supplies for Moonshine AU, but it goes to another app of his (with — is it Egon Schiele?)
(That link Says “only for Mac”...)

Looks like a granular-izing (autocorrect made that granular-icing) effect, seems the dev works in CSound, this may resemble stuff like csSpectral from Boulanger
What's with the in-Moonshine screenshot showing "Moonshine (LFVD)" as an Audio Unit?
Looks like he's got a few AUs I've never heard of. https://itunes.apple.com/us/developer/luis-felipe-vieira-damiani/id1139996732 All with similar(ly confusing to me) hosted AUv3 screenshots.
Ah. Perhaps a clue from "Ringabell AU" https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ringabell-au/id1275344965?mt=8
Though the Plectrum app's screenshot shows several other AUs. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/plectrum/id1254465919?mt=8
Would be interested to hear anyone's experience with any of these.
Plectrum I have .but never really got a good feeling with it .. but Sounds cool though
Plectrum is great through Fiddlicator. I've gotten some very believable string instrument sounds with that combo.
I find they sound pretty... experimental is the only word I can think of. Haven’t found a place for them in my sound, but that could change one day.
Plectrum can be pretty.
Inner'resting. Thanks for the feedback, yunz. I love granular nonsense but think I'll continue to enjoy the bits I've got. For a bit anyway.
Doug already did a review of Nimbus AU.

This has just gone up a pound in price.
Just found active link for Moonshine AU in App Store, but damn Store won’t let me copy link or any info. So I’m adding a screen grab.
Apparently, Moonshine is a stereo granulator with 13 parameters per channel. We can also apply it separately to left and right channels.
Looks like the guys do a revamp of his apps. Doug at TSTR has reviewed a few of his apps in the past.
Grabbed this anyway, and so far quite interesting. Lots of strangeness possible. Only comes with 2 presets, though, which is rather mean.
I will be doing this, probably tomorrow, I ran AXON through this in AUM and it was like a wild thing, in a good way
@thesoundtestroom Doug, do you have an AppStore link yet?

I’m intrigued, since i like fieldscaper but won’t load in BM3. I’m not seeing any specs in the app store regarding if it will sync the automation or whatev to the host tempo.
Yeah interested for this too. Would love fieldscaper in BM3..
Keep meaning to check out the AU side of Idensity. Had very quick look at it but didn't seem syncable etc in BM3 or to receive transport etc... But tbh I only half learned idensity before I got distracted just having fun with it and haven't really looked back. Need to read manual and sit with it and see what the options/possibilities are in AU.
Thanks for the tip.
Can the wild thing be domesticated through any form of host sync? Whether it be native lfos or the automation the description mentions?
