Hope you have a better one Gus.
@u0421793 Nice personal touch, Ian. Did you scan that in or do it digitally? Looks like watercolor. Nevermind, clicked through and read the description.
Watercolour. Didn’t take long really. I prestretched the watercolour paper days before. The robin is basically two washes - from rich brown to the pale of the belly, minus the red area, and then a red wash in the chestal area, leaving a hole for the eye and beak. A bit of blue-ish tinted dark brown for the wing splash, and beak, and more blue for the centre of the beak, and the eye (leaving a bit of paper for the highlight), and the same wing splash colour for the legs with a rigger brush. The green with a flat brush. The writing was going to be with a (disposable, ink included) chinese calligraphy pen but it had dried up a bit when I tested it so I switched to 4B pencil.
Just look at everything the Romans have given to us. No reason to complain.
2222 will be my year.
Wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year!
Thanks Monzo, you too. Good days I can pull off... doing it 365 times in a row, now that is a feet!
Happy new year everyone! I think I'll be spending a lot of time on this forum in the new year.
Ian, that is a lovely piece of work.
