New year, new question.
So, i love Cthulhu and there are so many awesome chords and i saved my own too. You also can transpose the chords by semitones.
For those who familar with it. What would be the closest to it on iOS. I‘m more interested in the chords section than the arp.
It must be iPhone.
Thank‘s!

There really is nothing like Cthulhu for iPhone. I think ChordPolyPad, Navichord, and ChordFlow are your best bets.
Well, a couple of months ago I emailed the Dev of Cthulhu about his vst coming over to ios. He wrote back saying not at this time. He's very busy writing other software. He a legal nice fella, & very responsive. Maybe if a few more of the iOS community emailed him, he might give in?
Have you tried Plugin Boutique "Scaler"....... It's fab, & I think it's easier to do progression chords on it than Cthulhu. But I still using both. But if you use a PC making music & use Cthulhu, I suggest to have a look at Scaler.
Who also happens to be the developer of Serum.
Steve is a cool guy, not forgetting Nerve and LFO tool too.
Thank‘s.
What i‘m searching for on iPhone is a chord programmer. You know it‘s hard to play chords on an iPhone, especially over 3-4 octaves.
Now i would like to program some progressions or better said a chord per midi key (like Cthulhu) which i can play them (without sequencing or arp).
And it would be great if it works this way:
Choose a key and then you could enter the chords, not by playing it since that doesn‘t work on an iPhone, but via choosing one key after one and then save such progressions.
I especially love the MiscClassical chords within Cthulhu. Most iOS apps seems to focus on the usual minor/minor etc. stuff.
I love these chords also to try synth presets as well since there are so many „perfect“ harmonies which let me really judge how great a synth/instrument sound and/or how good a specific sounds works for some moods.
I indeed should finally write to Xfer since Cthulhu often has stuck midi notes which drives me crazy.
But it‘s the only midi FX outside of the Logic intern which i like to use.
I know there is Cream for iOS but i never coukd get warm with it.
Maybe Brambos could create something like this.
Maybe Rozeta comes already close but if i understand it right it‘s more about sequencing rather than live input?
Thank you all!
Have you tried the Edit Chords feature in Alchemy in GB? I just did for the first time last night. I could see how useful this could be if it were expanded to all AU
Yes he does, another great synth.
Here is is demoing Cuthulu........
No. Didn´t even know that this exist.
I will have a look.
Now that i had also a deeper look at Cthulhu (lol, after years of owning it and still have no clue how to pronounce it)
i see it has so much easy to use but useful features like this easy way of program up to 128 chords per setting and can transpose them, order them with different choices, lock certain notes, change velocity per note etc. if i want and some other stuff.
Plus what i would call one of the best arp features it is great value at $39. I would sure pay the same for an iOS app with these features and workflow.
There seems to be some great iOS midi apps but most of them focus on ready to go scales/chords (which are great too) rather than making your own thing out of it or they are focused on sequencing rather than live input.
I would die for just the Logic Arp as midi AUv3. Great GUI (looks usable too for multi-touch), easy to use and so versatile if you look deeper in it and still so nice to perform.
Maybe i change my mind and think that Logic iOS could works well on a big iPad too.
When i think about it, even a stripped down version would be worth 100 bucks since it could "replace" 100 apps
Than´s for the suggestions.
But there must be an iOS app where i just can program chords per key, not related to any scale etc. Or?
Here is Plugin Boutique "Scaler" vst.
Scaler looks nice indeed...damn, don´t get me on another G.A.S. session, the year just started.
But i´m searching for an iOS thing to try out the same things i like on my notebook but i can do on just my iPhone.
I can´t believe that there isn´t already tons of stuff here.
& not forgetting his excellent free DJMFilter vst too.......
It’s not very flexible yet... but let’s you customize 12 different chords using sliders: sus2, sus4, maj7 etc. would be even better if as you mentioned you could just choose the specific notes
