I guess it sounds nice, even if those tracks are each 2:40 seconds of musical cliche. (Does the medium inform the content? I don't know.) But I am interested in how the second track was put together: That melody line really sounds like a keyboard riff that is easy to play by hand but very hard to draw in in that Auxy piano roll.
@Sebastian gets it. Honestly I’ve yet to run into a situation where I felt limited by Auxy’s sounds or felt like I could only make a particular genre. Those featured tracks are that way because they know their audience. But you choose a couple or more sounds, layer them and automate and I guarantee you can get just about anything. Plus as they’ve said, one of the main goals is to “drastically expand the sound palette”
This thread got me to reinstall the older midi-out version...fun! 4 tracks, easy piano roll editing, simple and stable
Curious to see what the next thing is
Have you seen the one where they have 16 tracks and automation editing? But yeah I suppose if you’re just looking for a damn sequencer, having the Auxy piano roll with midi out would be enticing. I like my all in ones though
Ya I got that other one too, put them both back on the device after reading through...pretty neat the way song building is figured out on the newer one. Could easily spend the $30 for the available sounds.
I do like the all-in-ones, too. Have a few that I like that have full on synths with parameter editing, I tend to prefer those for whatever reason. But I keep getting into the new ones...there’s so much overlap among these
It’s a bit like rock paper scissors
You are not alone.
One would think that this enthusiasm would encourage the developers. But I suspect that they are tightly focussed on their target market, and we are too few.
They’ve got my curiousity piqued. The minuscule market-of-one that I speak for is looking for onboard synths...the other all in ones I prefer all have those.
really ?
