I always used to tell my students at college that they can either study for a degree, like they are doing, or they can smoke weed for a few years, but you can’t do both. If you smoke dope, you’ll probably lose a few years of your life – totally gone from your memory, with nothing productive to show for it – and you’ll never get them back. If you turn up and study and get your qualification, you’ll have something to show for it and you’ll remember it forever. But you can’t do both effectively – if you think you can, you’re either not getting stoned properly or you’re not studying properly, so you’re doing neither very well. Pick one.

At Oz Fest, or in general? I had a beer when I was there. It was yummie. I had a beer last night too, it was even yummier. I don't smoke, I had enough of that riding in my parents car when I was a kid.

I am fascinated by changing opinions and values on such matters. My formal education and personal story have been impacted by related events. So public policy and public perceptions on the topics are relevant to my interests.
From discussions on here, I know that drugs are part of many of our stories. The stories vary but we have much in common. I don't discount any beliefs or opinions on any subjects. As we see, things change quickly.
I think this piece would get people to think or emotionally have a spark either agreeing or disagreeing.
By the amount of hits and posts, it has obviously has struck a interest vein.
I don't shy away from topics because some people feel one way or another. I often don't like people I agree with and get along with people who I don't dig their politics. I am at the point in life that the myopic "right""left" thing is null and void to me. It is childish and outdated.
Monothesistic or single strain mindsets are so 2014.
In my music, in my life, in the way I do what I feel is interesting and best for me.
