Launchpad app to get most of your launchkey. You can export from Blocs (and probably someday from Groovebox) and perform live (and record it) with launchkey remote control.

    +1

From there, I would recommend poking your way around BeatHawk, Cubasis, Gadget, and GarageBand. If you already have experience with computer based music production, maybe jump into AUM. See which one feels right, then become proficient with it. After that, you'll be able to make better informed decisions for yourself. (Not that we mind helping.) :)

  • Just add Bebot and you’re good to go.

Launchpad, plus apps with MIDI learn, such as Zeeon work brilliantly with the Launchkey. Gadget works well too.

  • How about that free Launchkey synth app?

Doesn't work with the latest Launchkeys.

  • As a fully paid up member of Appoholics Annonymous I can definitely say..."No you are not done, you are only just beginning " :D
Definitely get the Launchpad App...and have some pennies ready for the IAPS to unlock the FX etc if you like it.
You need to get down and dirty with what you've bought already in order to know what and how you want to do things...
2 apps i use all the time not on your list are Twisted Wave (for sample editing and format conversion e.g. stereo to mono) and Audio Mastering for, well, Mastering :)

  • I have to say I'm an app-aholic....I must be stopped lol....I love getting new apps lol and my mother said here is my credit card lol....she is moody so it's now or never lol....when you want new apps what do you use for your app discovery?

Fun fact: Mozart on his deathbed said, "I could have written more symphonies if I just had Bebot."

  • Are there any apps that are worth having that are free? I'm yet to find any but it's worth a shot

  • Launchpad, blocs wave, Groovebox are all Free for the base apps. Unlocking the goodness in them does cost though.

Funny thing is that everyone’s list of “essential” apps is different.

Yamaha synth book is excellent for the free synth inside if you don't have it already. Snap drum machine is another good one.
