Audiocopy?
I have seen this mentioned a few times here and I’m intrigued by it. I like the App Store description.
How are you all using it?

Most would use “open in” these days and stash things in AudioShare or open up loops made in other apps using, the open in feature to yet other apps.
As far as the audio copy app goes, it gets slammed here because apart from the excellent loopmaster packs , it’s not necessary. I think it’s popular with those who use iMPC pro though
If you don’t own AudioShare by kymatica then you should consider it. It’s THE ONE APP we all own on here and is indespable like his other apps, especially AUM
Kidding.
It is one of the most valuable apps I own.
Get it and try it.
Well there’s a general function referred to as audio copy/paste where the output of one app can be exported/“copied” to a pasteboard and then be pasted into another app that supports that function. It’s an old way of getting things around between apps but it always works perfectly for the most part.
Then there’s the Audiocopy app which lets you trim stuff up a bit and also have access to a sample pack store from loopmasters.
I don’t use the app. I use Audioshare to organize audio clips and Audioshare is also compatible with the audio copy/paste function as well as allows for trimming, conversion, recording, etc.
So if organization is what you want, get Audioshare. If you want loopmasters soundpacks, I guess Audiocopy is the one
I’ve had AudioShare for quite a while and use it the way you described @db909. I was wondering if I was missing something crucial from a simple and free app. Does it do anything that AudioShare does not?
Not counting the loop IAP’s. I wouldn’t use those.
AudioCopy is required for importing and exporting sounds with @Retronyms apps like IMPC and Hook etc.
As far as I'm concerned that's the extent of its usefulness. I use AudioShare for everything else.
But not all apps have both Audioshare and ACopy.
Sometimes ACOPY offers multiple simultaneous sample import like with iDensity LoopTunes and KMachine
AudioShare ALSO supports AudioCopy, both the new ACP3 version and the previous "pasteboard" version.
The more the merrier.
The funny thing is that back in the day, before AB and IAA, audio copy and paste ( ACP) was king. We used it to get stuff into nano studio and it was fast and effective
Audiocopy exists from the original old days of music creation on iOS devices. It has now pretty much been made obsolete by the likes of AudioShare, OpenIn, and the new Apple Files app. It was never a necessity to begin with, since there was always a general copy-n-paste in Apple. The only real difference is that it copied more information about the file, and it allowed copying of multiple apps. It was once owned by a single developer that worked with Retronyms on it. At some point, this developer transferred rights to Retronyms, who have now added a sample sales store to it (amongst other things to monetize it).
I haven't used it for about 5 years.
Thanks for the input everybody. I always get good, straight answers here.
Beware audio copy must been closed when not used. This app sucks my battery and drains the phone and pad like nothing other... hate it when I forget to close it and my battery is on 20% after 4-5 hours - anyone else? High background activity whatever that is with audiocopy
