Blocs Wave gone bonkers under AUM?

Could be just me, but the morning Blocs Wave seems to have gone bonkers under AUM. It is totally unaffected by any effect I try, and even sliding it to the left out of the top slot does not stop it playing.

Comments

  • It's been confirmed broken in AUM since it's last update.

Oh great. It would be nice if they put time into fixing this as opposed to a new coat of paint for Launchpad. These guys used to be so good.

The TestFlight version of Groovebox also fails to load after the most recent update. Not at good time for Novation/ Ampify apps.

AUM, IAA, etc don't generate revenue for them. So I highly doubt we're ever going to see it being a priority for them anymore. I'm guessing the next update will be more about effects. And of course more IAP.

Not quite shure I understand this statement. Are you saing, that the apps are generating more revenues as standalone apps relying on IAPs with functionalities replacing what was possible with the previous connectivity options?

In that case, it is a bordeline scam, deliberately crippling the apps thereby forcing users to pay to make them useable again. Having bought a lot of packs, both content and funtionality IAPs this is worring, but that does not sound credible to me.

Anyway @AmpifyxNovation any comments? Is our purcases going down the drain?

  • Launchpad still works in AUM, they’ve definitely screwed up Blocs though.

Pretty bold move to leave something glaring like AUM IAA broken UNLESS they are cooking up AU (ya right) .

Was a completist with their packs, prefer my own supply, but there’s nowhere convenient to stash it to keep me addicted.

  • In the past, these guys have been great. So willing to give some leeway. But things need doing.

Blocs Wave - fix it. Leaving it not working with an app as important and prominent as AUM, is rather poor. If Brambos found one of his apps had stopped working with AUM, the fix would be there in days.

Groovebox - Lots of potential, currently let down by lack of midi out and fresh modules, such as guitar. Without these, it’s another EDM machine, like a cut down Gadget. Are we getting improvements or not?

Launchpad - A new suit. Really? Come on guys, you know what real improvements would help the app. Making it look a little better should never have been a priority.

At the moment it’s looking like three wheels on the Ampify wagon, with vague promises about the future, and not so much getting delivered. Yet, in living memory, the chaps have delivered in spades. So I hope this period of dormancy will soon end, with something substantial.

You missed out the Launchkey app that hasn’t been updated for over two years, and doesn’t work with the latest Launchkey keyboard.

Ah yes, right you are, Mr Monzo. Lots of work to be done!

  • Would be lovely to get an early 2018 update from @AmpifyxNovation on the current status of bug fixing their apps.

    Fingers crossed.

If I had one iOS wish, it would be that Blocs Wave gets MIDI in. I love the app so much but hate the lack of MIDI. Yeah I can export to Launchpad and control LP via my Launch Control XL, but come on; it's just not the same. Of course I want AUM support too.

  • I can't remember who shared it, but if you start Blocs first and then load it in AUM, the fader and FX and routing work as expected. If you start Blocs from inside of AUM, it connects to the system output directly, so nothing you do in AUM will have an effect.

Just trying it that way now, everything seems to work excactly as it should. I had forgotten what a great app it is.The eq IAP makes a huge difference............

Well done CracklePot. That is a good workaround. :)
