It's quite funny that you can 'pay' IAP to remove the Roland logo...
Well they add 4X to the IAP too... but yes seems more an AD app than app itself.
Said that I bought it in a breath since it will help me doing my looping videos faster and dealing with other apps didn’t gone right in the past.
I expect 4X animoji videos feeding youtube as sign of Smith agent prophecy of the One...

The second 1/2 where she shares it to get the rest of the tracks looks quite interesting
would be cool if you can import other videos from camera roll into the app, anyone know if that's possible
Yes, you can import. Just did. It stands the imported video on its head, though (in preview)
But is it AUv3?
The video trimming looks pretty basic, how would you possibly get the parts properly synced?
The IAP is now free....
I was looking for the other Roland 4xCamera app which says free but only if you plug roland go:mixer series...
Nice if 4Xcamera (the X shows the place ar!) is now free. Great App!
the only free iap I'm seeing is for connected go mixer use... and on the other app the iap Is $7.99
Plow past connecting go mixer, free will pop up eventually
I have a Go:Mixer Pro and went ahead and go the IAP anyway, because I couldn't figure out how to upload the video I recorded. There were other things I struggled with in this app but I forgot because I gave up and haven't used the Go:Mixer for several months.
@kobamoto
The link for the app is available on the first post of this very thread.
No need to connect a Go Mixer to unlock the now FREE iap !
There are two different apps with similar name.
4Xcamera and 4xcamera.
The second is what needs go:mixer gear to unlock as free the iAp and I understood the first get some kind of discount but I didn't check...
Thanks to Roland I don't know what app we are talking in this topic now
So...
4Xcamera (the original app of this topic and seems it has the iAp discount)

https://www.roland.com/global/products/4xcamera/
and
4xcamera maker (the trolling app from Roland themselves which needs go:mixer gear to unlock its iAp which is near 8 bucks)
https://www.roland.com/global/products/4xcamera_maker/
by ear? You just overdub the next video on top of the first in replay mode AFAI understood...
got it, thanks folks
I figured out that if I want the video recorded with 4XCamera to be uploaded to Youtube, I have to use the Youtube app.
If I want to email the video to somebody I have to use the regular Camera app and do a "send to" from there.
None of this is mentioned in the documentation for 4XCamera or Go Mixer:Pro - great job, Roland!
Also Go:Mixer Pro internally mixes everything to just 2 channels (stereo), no matter how many inputs into it that you use. AUM only sees 2 inputs - L and R
4xcamera Maker is different- it allows you to use 4 iphones together for multi camera shooting of whatever you’re filming, 4xcamera is to do the split screen presentation where you assemble separate performances.
Yup I put links to each one to show the differences but the name (short in links and pics) doesn't help. Roland could make the effort to differentiate these better with different and clear names.
U r the man...that is a good freebie!
Hello I am looking for your late experiences here with the now free roland 4x camera app....
Have you succeeded recording audio through your audio interfaces with the app ?
My line 6 sonic port worked but not my red AKAI EIE. If i record a video launching AUM, the app grabs the audio with the sonic port and not the AKAI EIE....
Is there a setting I need to select inside AUM to make it work or not?
Has anyone got this working with an audio interface? It just crashed as soon as I pressed record. I’m guessing it would work with the Roland GO:MIXER range but I’m much more interested in using the Roland Aerocaster VRC-01. That hardware is meant for live streaming with the Aerocaster Live app but that’s strictly for streaming and not recording, however it stands to reason that it would work with 4XCamera Maker in ordinary Audio interface mode like the GO:MIXER range but without confirmation I am going to wait for confirmation that it will work without crashing before I take the plunge.
