While everyone was checking the new Audio Damage release...

...this little puppy made its gracious appearance. Maybe everyone knows about it. Well, not me. Someone here suggested it to me here not so long ago and I’ve been in love with the sound ever since.

It sounds awesomely sweet and does a decent damage from gentle and pasty to total KO. Did I mention gate?

It’s called SHAPER, it is dirt cheap, (AU, IAA) and it sounds like this:

Shaper : smart audio destroyer by K-Devices

  • It’s the best. Ends up in nearly every session for me.

  • Funky beat. Where did the Bass sound come from? Is it just a sample in Patterning? Bangin'

Yeah man! This is my favorite effect outside of Auria. I have an instance in everyone of my projects since bought. It reminds me of that SP series dirt when tweaked right.

  • I’ve been tryin to tell you guys not to sleep on that one. It’s the best at what it does

  • I'm all out of iTunes credits now... But I wanted this so bad. Just ended up getting Grind instead because of the sales! Off to buy another gift card... We never have enough FX apps

  • yeah best overdrive/ distortion/ destroyer plugn available up to current date

  • Ok guys I bought it. Never heard of it till now.

    trust

  • Looks like “Patterning

  • great sound, flexibility and GUI.

Nice find, Supadom. At the full price, I’d have probably left it, thinking I wouldn’t use it enough. But at the sale price, this is a steal. And, my early dabbling reveals, potentially more useful to RTM music than I’d imagined.

  • Amazing. Just got it

  • Yeah I like this one a lot and hope they bring more to iOS, have bought lots of their desktop stuff.

  • Errrr, not so impressed that the AU version of this not only refuses to load in Auria Pro, but also hangs AP.

  • It’s really nice. I like how the effects can be reordered!

Good point, I forgot to feature this in the vid.

That was a massive quickie. This was the only bass sample I had in AudioShare so I just loaded it into Patterning and recorded coarse pitch changes. I think it might have been either imini or Isem originally.

Yeah, it happened to me a couple of times in AUM that it would stop filtering. So probably not the cleanest code.

I thought though that it looks like company's first foray into IOS world and since it was kind of hidden I thought I'd give it a bit of a boost to see if Devs had anything to add. Either in terms of bug fixing or new stuff.

It's such a gem that I feel it is worth the entry price anyway. Please don't hate me :O

Not at all. This is already a great little app, and well worth buying. It just needs a fix. :)

  • Their Moor step sequencer looks real good. Creative tool. Hope they port it.

    So true!

  • Shaper's great. K-devices make also super wicked M4L devices.

  • Good ‘un, very flexible (reordering is indeed an ace feature) and super easy to use.

No idea what I’ll use it on but I suspect everything that needs a bit of grit.

Great find. It's worth it even if only for sampling guy's voice. ;)

Seriously though, it is good to see audio synced with video. I've used screen capture for mine but it came out rubbish.

  • Very good plug indeed!

yep I confirm does not load in Auria Pro - I emailed the dev so we'll see if fixed in an update

  • App is bad ass.

    Even better off recent upgrade.

Quality distortion and warmth are surprisingly difficult to do.

I totally forgot about this feature. I always get lost finding the sweet spots. Way to rebump this app. Thanks!
