Bluetooth broken in iOS 11.2.2 ?
Got a brand new iPad Pro 10.5 about 3 weeks ago and the IK iRig Blueboard with the CC/Note Momentary Switch Modes B and C worked perfectly. I think the iPad had 11.1 on it out of the box.
Now, after an iOS 11.2.2 update, the blueboard won't stay connected in any app like Quantiloop Pro, AUM, Midiflow, etc. in B or C Mode. Oddly, A Mode with the Blueboard app works but isn't actually useful in my setup.
Multiple attempts at reconnecting, forgetting the device and re-pairing fail.
Anyone having this happen to their blueboards or any other bluetooth midi device for that matter? Thanks.

I have noticed my Bluetooth headset keeps losing connection since upgrading to iOS 11. Quick google search shows I’m not the only one. I also have the BlueBoard but haven’t used it with iOS for a bit. I will test it out tonight
iOS 11.2.2 on iPhone 7 Plus here and Blueboard stay connected up to two hours sessions without any issues. Same thing with Korg Nanokey studio. Btw I use Korg BLE-MIDI app most of the time for both Blueboard and Nanokey, but used AUM yesterday for Blueboard with great success too. Have you done hard reboot? Perhaps you could reset network settings too.
@ipluckthestring and @Janosax thanks for the replies. What's really confusing for me is why the blueboard app sees and connects to the board in A mode but the 1.1 update B and C functions have just decided not to stay connected. Tried the hard reboot and network reset but no luck. Again, appreciate your replies.
Hi,
I don't know if this is the same issue, but it's worth testing to see - what worked for me was turning off flight mode, I wrote about it here too - https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/22579/troubleshooting-bluetooth-midi#latest
Hope you get it sorted
I had this issue too. In fact you have to connect BT device first, then switch to flight mode. Works perfectly for me everyday. If I enter flight mode first, Blueboard will not connect most of the time. Flight mode is so necessary while doing music, every phone call will make most apps audio crashes.
Bluetooth seems okay for me, but the new fault is losing sound overnight. Working fine when I go to bed. Next day, not a sausage until I reboot the iPad. This has only been happening since the last IOS update.
this is a dealbreaker for me - guess I better wait
Thanks for clarifying, I will try that next time I’m using BT
