AU developers, a word in your shell-like

Hello AU developers.

Chances are, if you have made an innovative AU FX app, I’ve bought it. Kudos muchly for your excellent work. Keep on lobbing these things into the App Store, and I will keep tapping Buy!

Just one request. Could those of you who have not yet done so - and you know who you are - please add State Saving under AudioBus 3. That would be ever so useful.

Thanks. :)

  • Just to be clear... you’re asking that the standalone version of these these FX be made to work with Audiobus state saving, correct? AU automatically does this.

Really? Then why, when using many AU FX in AB3, does AB3 not report that states have been saved?

If this is happening in the background, but not being reported by AB3, then I have learned something. Not for the first time. ;)

The state saving message only applies to IAA apps. All Auv3 state save. Even in other hosts like AUM.

  • although not necessarily in iMPC Pro2, alas.

Marvellous. Thanks for putting me straight. These developers are even smarter than I thought....and obviously a lot smarter than me.

In my experience iMPC Pro2 is really flaky with AUi state-saving. It's a shame, because otherwise it's a very promising app, but the inability to reproduce a song accurately on reopening ruins the experience. For me, anyway.
