Controlling synth

So I got my novation mini and I'm testing it out by launching individual synths and try it out and they all work great apps scepter with poison-202 it's not automatically controlled, how do I fix this? Also say I want to midi learn on a specific parameter on a synth how do I go about midi learn/mapping this?

  • The process for MIDI learn in Poison IS tricky, and so that’s why our guy Jakob produced this handy tutorial.

    I hope this helps.

  • Asking for help is 100% cool. Most are happy to help. I've asked this of you before but i'm gonna ask again: before you hit the "post" button, please take a second to edit your post to make it easier for other people to read. I write fast and drop words all the time myself; totally get it. But if you're asking for help, don't make other people work to help you out, you know?

Looks like JW pulled out a few keywords and posted a helpful video but I have no idea what you even meant here:

  • Some synths have fixed midi cc numbers but usually it is either a midi learn button in settings, a long tap on a control or double tap on a control.

There are some synths that don't have a midi learn option and I tend not to buy them for that reason. Exceptions being things like TC-11 that are designed to work great with touch interface.
