Yamaha MM6 sounds to iphone

Hello,

I own a Yamaha mm6. I currently connect to my iPhone 8 Plus using the Yamaha mdbt-01. I am able to control most apps with the mm6. I have two questions.

1) is there a way to get the mm6 sounds, along with midi, to be recorded in to a daw (bm2, GarageBand)?

2) when using the mm6 to control the internal BM2 sounds or with another app via IAA, the sustain pedal does not always work. Is there something going on with my midi implementation that I’m just oblivious to?
