USB hub and Yamaha UD-BT01 BT MIDI

Anyone know if it's possible to hook up the Yamaha UD-BT01 to a USB hub to transmit BT MIDI from multiple devices simultaneously to an iOS device? So, the use case would look like this: plug a USB keyboard, a USB foot pedal, and a USB drum pad into a USB hub. Plug the UD-BT01 into the hub and it sends BT MIDI wirelessly to my iPad. Anyone have one who can try this?

It looks like you would need 3 of them to get that all working. Yamaha website says it will only work on a midi to host USB port such as many newer synths and controllers use in place of old school midi ports. Each one would also need its own USB power.

I have the other (midi cable) version and was surprised to find that you can use 5 of those at the same time.

  • eh, bummer. Thanks for the info.
