Propellerheads: When you release Reson for iOS ? Will be there all classic desktop stuff like Thor, NN-XT, Subtractor, Malstrom ? Will be project from iOS version compatible with desktop version ?
Ableton: Any plans for iOS version of Live ?
Bitwig (are they there ?): Any plans for iOS version of Bitwig ?
Korg Gadget: Would you just give us the ability to rename our tracks already?! A list of five options isn’t good enough.
Dendy already asked the pertinent questions for Reason, so I second that.
Are you going to be live today?
Please please please ignore any requests to punch the intua dude in the face!
Please bug the shit out of anyone at Korg regarding the future ( if there is any) of iKaossilator or just Kaoss stuff on iOS in general. Also if you happen across any iOS daw type apps where you can record from the touchscreen, see if they have an erase button, specially if it’s loop based, if it doesn’t, ask them why the hell not.
Be careful, Korg guy can run
+1 punch Intua in the face lol
I'm with you there @db909
I would love to see some more IAP sounds added to iKaossilator, still use it often and the simplicity is refreshing. Loading all 5 tracks with different drum kits is one of my favourite things and can result in very complex beats in no time at all.
Also ask if anyone has won the mystery bingo in iDS-10 yet or is it Korgs version of a global rick roll?
I think Ableton will continue to improve iOS music workflow for all of us without asking for a cent from anyone. Version 10 is around the corner so Link v2 can't be too far away!
One question regarding iKaossilator for you: Do you clear the part when you mess up OR keep playing? And can’t remember where I found the answer, but I think the bingo (I never got it) gets you a bunch of synth presets and something like you can change the colors of something in the app. I dunno
I do reach for clear part sometimes. To be honest once I discovered the 5 drum track thing I haven't really used it for anything else. Sometimes I'll do 4 drums and a bassline. Each track will be quite sparse in solo but combining different kits like this can get beats that are fairly complex and sound like they took a while to program rather than the 2 minutes I have spent on them. I will do an Ableton export and add the other stuff from there.
You are the first person I have heard talking about the bingo prize, I almost have all the bingo lights and was imagining a world cruise or collection of Korg hardware as the prize. Guess I'm an optimist at heart!
Zivix have two new Jamstik models on show. Are they wieldy? playable? I like what they're trying to do, but I've found the existing five-fret models rather unsatisfactory.
Could you ask the Native Instruments people if they have an update for iMaschine2 coming up at some point, please? For like say... MIDI in? Thanks!
I have been searching everywhere I can think of and I can't find anything about the bingo! The extra presets and different colours sound like they may be the IAP packs in ARP ODYSSEi since this is exactly what you get with those. I think it's time for a new thread on this one!
Hey John, have you seen anything from Yamaha yet?. I’m hoping they do more with iOS.
Would love to see video footage at the booths you mentioned, esp MoForte. Say hi to Pat for me!
Found this video on YouTube. GeoShred is genius!
Very cool @Lady_App_titude. We need SWAM on iOS!
I'm sure the roli app has some SWAM stuff in there, I will confess to having no idea what SWAM is.
Synchronous Wave Acoustic Modeling
A keyboard w/ breath controller has been how it has been typically done. But now MPE, like in GeoShred, Roli, Linnstrument, etc, opens up new options.
Thank you very much @Lady_App_titude
That video does sound very close to the real thing, I'm imagining it takes a while to get good with the articulations etc
Ask IKM, Korg, KMI, Positive Grid etc. to make a BT MIDI foot controller with 12 ore more switches and at least 2 XP pedals or jacks and most importantly completely programmable on iOS. Thanks
