Quick question for developers

In light of recent events and the debates I was wondering if it is possible for a developer to access data about which users have purchased their app and setup any kind of privileges for these users?

Clearly the AppStore can do this as bundles will auto-correct prices, was just curious if it is even possible for a developer to find out this information?

  • I recall one of the developers saying something in a recent thread that Apple doesn't tell them who their customers are, which is why refunds have to go through Apple... it might have been in the Beatmaker dropped to free thread when there was a divergence to refund discussion.

Thanks @DYMS for your reply, I suspected that this was most likely the case.

Which is (or must be) very frustrating from a mercantile point of view...
