Small/simple daw
I'm looking for a simple daw for ewcording synth tracks....I want something just to record a single synth track for use with launchpad so a extensive full featured daw is not what the m after....I already have Auria and cubasis so I just want something small and simple with the ability to export just to record animoog/magellan/gadget .....suggestions?

Audiobus and blocs wave
I would also recommend Blocs Wave, especially since you want the audio in Launchpad.
They are right; Blocs Wave is what you need.
Those three apps all record themselves. Animoog 4-track IAP imports wav files. You already have everything you need. Don't let app GAS distract you.
Garageband
Multitrack DAW is probably the most straightforward and DAW-like, but I would probably vote for Audioshare— not a DAW, but has simple tools of for trimming/fading. Plus, you need it anyway.
Wait. Recording audio? Midi? Both? Hardware synth or app?
Midi synth app
Audioshare
Yes, but do you just want to play the synth and record its audio, or do you need to be able to record the midi notes so that you can play back the performance, change synth settings, presets, etc, and/or edit notes? The answer makes a big difference in your options.
The fact that @jdolecek70 wants to use the audio in Launchpad makes Blocs Wave the clear winner here. In Blocs Wave hit "export", select "Launchpad", job done!
