    electro latino...

nothing beats a bit of Uwe :) .. i had the pleasure of releasing two extended tracks from this on 7” vinyl back in the late 90’s.. the Senor Coconut - El Gran Baile ( the kraftwerk covers one ) seems an appropriate listen right now too.

Nice, some of th Senor Coconut stuff was great, Flanger also pulled out a few great albums back in the day.

yeah, the very first ‘non-covers’ senor Coconut LP is the most interesting .. but i always love the Neon Lights version on El Gran Baile.
    and B friedmann is cool...

If you define good as tolerating a maniacal metal mole sharpening its teeth on your spine every day for the past 6 months then yeah, it’s good.

Have you had a dodgy back? I tore the muscle in my lower back last year, and spent 6 months barely able to walk, and in ridiculous pain, so I can sympathise.

Of course just as it started to get better lockdown kicked in, so I still can’t go anywhere!

No, Monzo, all good on the lumbar front thanks, I was referring to the wonderful cheese grater guitar on Kim’s track :) I know a plant-based medicine that may help ease your pain (I used to help folk with similar ailments) but I’m no longer permitted to assist. This country is so far behind the curve it makes me sick. Anyway, for another day. Wishing you well me ole mate.

    Thanks BP, you too :)

My back’s mostly recovered now, but I can always find a new ailment that would benefit a plant-based medicine!

I was due an NHS physio appointment just before shutdown, where the ex Russian military bruiser physio said he would have to ‘re-wound’ me, as the muscle had healed ‘in the wrong place’.

There are many things that have been cancelled due to the pandemic that I’m very sad about. The cancellation of that appointment is not one of them.

Dont think i have listened to the whole of that album yet. These two are still occupying my thoughts:

  • JW Francis - Gold - Single

  • The Humble Cheaters - Acid Flashback

    into the fog we go:

  • YouTube recommended this talented young man:

  • Very very good

  • Right this second, I’m listening to Vanessa Carlton’s second album “Harmonium.” I forgot how much I like this album.

  • This album blew my mind a few years ago when it came out. To paraphrase Startrek, it's jazz, Jim, but not as we know it. Their new album just came out, bit different in style, also amazing.
