Compilation of Peruvian Cumbia 1960s-80s. Loaded with irresistibly danceable African/surf guitar riffs:
This is SO GOOD! Thank you!

My sister and brother and I listened to this song ( and the rest of the album "Swinging Safari") all the time when we were kids. Happy memories!

Lol. That’s funny and so true.
Besides his voice being amazing, There’s just something about his unique inflections, flourishes, and delivery that blow my mind every single time. One of the greatest for sure.
I didn’t know about those covers, I’ll have to give those versions a listen. Thanks.
This goes on for a while but these guys are pretty much at the top of their game.
Love Mono Neon.
Hard to pick one off of this album.
Highly recommended.
Try some of this Jewish Surf Guitar music:
This is the greatest thing I’ve seen/heard all week.
That bass lick and a belly dancer appearance.
Covers the bases for me.
The Shaolin Afronauts:
When I call this take mind-bending, there is no intention of hyperbole.
I’ve listened to it hundreds of times. Fortune and genetics willing, I plan on hearing it hundreds more.
Probably not the most popular genre round these parts but this is getting heavy play from me right now..
This is really good
@symianbeatz I really enjoyed the tune and the video. My genre identification skills are pretty weak. Hip hop? While this isn’t the type of music I would normally seek out, I do stumble across some, many times from songs that get posted on this thread, hip-hop, rap type stuff that sucks me in. DJ Shadow and Ken Segal (Ken Can Cook) come to mind. This is giving me a similar vibe and I am going to dig into some more of it. Thank you for posting this.

I use to hang out with Harold some in the 90’s. A real genius. I’ve lost touch with him, but still listen to his early 70’s funky jazz.
You folks introduced me to Ozric Tentacles by accident. I can’t believe I never noticed them previously.
Newest discovery, great atmospheres
Bought a couple of albums.
You remember that music. Where it were said to be the digital version of stimulating highs? but never worked.
I think this track is the musical sound of a dissocative. Or generally a real body buzz. Good with Indica or even cbd.
Its probably more so. If you listen to album.
Will definitely be listening to this with headphones later, sounds great
