Favourite app icons
What apps (music-making) have the best app icons, as seen among the rest, on your iOS machine?
No need to mention other non-music making app icons, unless it is by way of a comparison.
Also, there must be a ‘why’. No just mentioning the app and then running away, give us the why.

I almost like NodeBeat, except for the reflection along the top edge – it isn’t quite correct. Otherwise, I like the simplicity, however, it goes down the path of taking a piece of imagery from the app in its working mode, which I always think is a bit unimaginative. However, the app, when you’re using it, does look artistically interesting, so they can get away with it.
A runner-up here is SpringSound. I like the spring, I find the app icon immediately recognisable and not struggling to give too much realistic information. However, I don’t like the heavily effected ‘Anckorage’ word across it – it isn’t called ankorage, it is called SpringSound, so take that irrelevant word off.
The one I’m going to put in here is Auria. It is simple, recognisable and doesn’t fall into the trap of using a picture of a piece of the app in use. It tells a story by itself, in one hit.
