This Enlight app has no subscription model. Other Enlight apps however do. Maybe you downloaded one of the the wrong ones (subscription based apps). It's called just Enlight so NOT Enlight Quickshot, Enlight Videoleap, etc.

In this case, a link would help.

Thanks, but this seems to be the generally free version - The Pro Version is indeed on a subscription route.

Can imagine you downloaded a wrong Enlight app. But now you're really making no point and start to talk nonsense because there is no Enlight Pro.

Afaik the free version gets no updates (i am fine with that) and has some downsides, which can be ultimately solved with changing to the subscription version.

Maybe i am a bit too allergic against subscriptions and the methods of some software companies to convice user to use this one day...

  • thanks for the heads up :)

There’s definitely a subscription for pro features. When you tap on upgrade in settings it takes you to the App Store to an app called enlight photofox pro, which is free but has to be unlocked either by a one time payment of a whopping €75, a monthly payment of €7 or €37 per year. And that’s apparently 50% off...

Not sure I fully agree with that assessment. That's a bit like complaining about Garageband being free because Apple also have Logic Pro which costs money, isn't it? :)

Not complaining, just saying... Because someone said there’s no pro version and no subscription...

You're absolutely right, you weren't complaining. Still, they seem to be two different apps - not the classic case of Pro and Lite versions of the same thing :)

Right, but Apple don’t put an upgrade button there that takes you straight to logic. And even if they did, logic is a much better value for what they charge... Personally I’m not a big fan of this kind of stuff but I’m also not a photographer, so wouldn’t ever consider paying that much for a photography app on iOS. An excellent music app maybe, but also rather not subscription based and not €75 at 50% off. Anyhow, I’ll check out the free app and see if it gets any use.

Ahem. The Pro version is Enlight Photofox, a subscription app with ludicrous pricing.

Enlight free, is nice enough. Wish it had a way to specify image size, though.

Ahm! I drive, have my studio & piano in... and live in a FIAT Diesel WohnWagen
I bet you can’t do that in a Ferrari. And yes, I also have place for a Pro Tools Mixer, Mac & a PC, 12 channel mixer,
TV, shower, fridge, PS4, 6 beds (nice for groupies) a gas heater & kitchen, microphone stand... active speakers...
Heated water... 3 live in cats and my postbox on the rear of the vehicle. Ferrari???
I can drive to any fellow musician I like and set up shop, that was the initial idea, but I’m a lazy man :)
Sometimes I just drive into the forest & camp out. It’s delicious to be a vagabond
