Any devs known to working on AU midi apps?

Anyone know any devs working on AU midi apps?

Love Rozeta and can see such a wide variety of uses for AU midi. Yes, we need more hosts to take it onboard, but I really would like to see a wide variety of AU midi controllers become available for use - circular drum sequencers (think Patterning), onscreen keyboards (think Selene Redux), midi controller blocks (think KRFT).

No limit to the possibilities!

Come on devs - get creative :)

  • Wider host support is certainly in the pipeline.

In the meantime, I have updated my documentation with new insights provided to me by Apple:
    http://ruismaker.com/au-midi-plugins/

    Hope that helps other developers.

  • We need a simple AUv3 effect audio looper!

    Great news.

  • I'd like to see an AU midi plugin to allow for the setting up of keyboard splits between different AU synths.

Could someone get on that. Thanks!

  • I’m looking forward to Audulus becoming an AU and also getting midi out. Then lots of potential for AU midi devices will be possible. Will still need to build in Audulus, but at least that won’t be as hard as coding actual AU plugins.

If you host in AUM, you can set note ranges for the different AU synths in their individual track settings, so each synth will respond to their own set range of notes.

And a MIDI Looper. With transpose. :)

Where is AB with adding AU midi support? That would push things along. Unexpected pitfalls in integrating with AB midi filters?

Oh yeah, I know, but I mean to use in other hosts.

Exactly that functionality, as an AU midi plugin.

The only other hosts are BM3 and Sequencism, unless there are more I am not aware of. You could use Audiobus 3 with MidiFlow Splitter. Use it with hosted AU synths, or send the splits out to another host of your choosing.

Yes. Specifically I want to be able to do splits in beatmaker 3. I'm sure other hosts will support AU midi going forward.

I've used AUM for splits and midiflow standalone, but I'm mainly using beatmaker 3 for live shows, and it would be much simpler if it was all self contained.
