Video..How to program the DM1 to do the classic one drop reggae pattern..plus more.
So in this I show how to program a fairly authentic reggae style pattern, plus fills and variations of the pattern using DM1...then I run through the song that I recorded with the pattern in Cubasis...the song uses real Bass and Guitar processed with Ampkit and Galileo and Sampletank for the organ and brass...its not a perfect example of a reggae track..but it turned out quite well I think..

I like people talking about and making reggae music! Nice work Doug. The completed fills sections in cubasis sound particularly good to my ears.
I've done some "I and IOS dub" in nanostudio. The NSP for lunchbreak-dub is here http://bridgeportmusic.com/audio/random2/Nanodub.nsp if anyone wants to inspect the drums. I thought I put up dubillion too but can't find it. If anyone wants it, happy to share.

Great video, Doug!
By an amazing co-incidence (if such things really exist!) I was just about to upload a reggae style jam I did with a guy called Michael Brossard (Gravity 987) on Soundcloud, over a funk style backing he made available for jamming over.
Well, when I say reggae, it has some reggae but quite a mix of other stuff as well, as you will see if you give it a listen
Thank you for a very entertaining video Doug,I've done a few reggae tracks in my past and it's nice to see someone else have a go.
@syrupcore both tracks are superb, I love dub, and its harder than you think to get the delays right..this would seem a good place to stick our dub/reggae stuff, heres one I did awhile ago with BM2, Animoog and some other stuff I cant remember..
Following Doug's suggestion to re-post it in this thread, here is said funky oriental celtic egyptian reggae track
A jam with Michael Brossard (Gravity 987) which gives his original funk track a rather different, unexpected feel, I think All my sounds from bismark bs16i (rock organ, brass section, bagpipes, taisho koto!) into Cubasis via Audiobus on my iPad2.
@syrupcore: nice sounds! Very well put together.
@thesoundtestroom: another great track.
It's amazing how many different styles of reggae there are!
Good to see you adding different flavours to your vids Douglas.like to see more of this as you do have a wealth of music and recording knowledge. We are part of that generation that saw the change from analogue to digital.
Want more old school method and techniques in ios..
Inspiring & entertaining vid Doug!
Thanks for the master and the Nanodub song.
I dunno, I thought "I and iOS dub" was pretty funny. Tough room.
Cheers @AlterEgo_UK and @thesoundtestroom. And no problem @fjcblanco.

Great vid Doug - thanks ! are you going to do the rest of the genre types ? ska, dancehall, ragga ???
