DLYM free Chorus/Flanger plugin from Imaginando(DRC dev). Who would be interested in an iOS version?

Here:

Apparently, this this new VST/AU effect plugin is based on what's in the DRC, which I love. I got a mail about it and assumed it was available for iOS as well. Went on the website but saw that it wasn't the case. While I was there, chat window was available so I asked about it. They said that they did not have a plan for an iOS version but they would probably do it if there were demand.

By the way, I also asked if they would update the DRC to work as an AUv3 and they said that the cross-platform engine they developed it on makes it very hard/impossible. Maybe they would do that as well based on demand? (If you don't have DRC, you should definitely get it. It sounds awesome!)

What do you think?

That’s odd, and a contradiction to the answer they gave me when I asked the same question. They said, and I quote, “we are looking forward to releasing it as an AU”. Maybe they’ve been trying to release it but have run into problems. It’s a shame, as I was looking forward to an AU version; it definitely would’ve given Zeeon a run for its money.

  • Maybe @sinosoidal can shed some light on the possibility of an AUv3 DRC :)

I'm (was) also looking forward to such an update. Actually, the person I talked to told me that he wasnt the one dealing with iOS stuff so maybe what he told me was not the whole story. Or maybe it happened the way you mentioned. It would really be nice to have DRC as AUv3.

  • I would buy it in a heartbeat.

  • They're still hopeful, but can't provide a timetable. Their app doesn't use official frameworks, and will require more rewritten code than they had planned.

Great to hear that it's possible!
