Shopping for a Visualizer
I have been doing some EQ work but I need a visual analysis of the input signal. Looking for a good solution to work within iOS DAW. I presently own Cubasis 2 and considering Auria Pro.

No responses yet. Hmm... By visualizer I am talking about about something like this:

I am told that running an iPad mini 4 with Auria Pro is a "bad idea," that AUv3's are not very stable in any iOS DAW presently. In light of this, what do people use? The Pro-R Reverb that is an in-app purchase in Auria looks nice, but it is just for the reverb and, of course, just for Auria.
I am using the DDF 6144 EQ which has no visual box, so I need to supplement this somehow.
FabFilter Pro-Q 2 has a built in visualizer, and is probably the best EQ on iOS. The downsides are that it is ONLY in Auria at the moment and it is expensive as well. If you're ok with those things, then Pro-Q 2 is the way to go.
I'm sure @oat_phipps would agree with me
Outside of Auria Pro I often use Bark Filter which has equaliztaion, compression and also a visualizer!
Another bit of cash for yet another eq and yet another compressor, just to get the visualizer. Hmmm... I was hoping for something leaner.
Apefilter is nearly half the price of Bark Filter and seems to have nice visuals...
I have seen Tonal Energy Tuner recommended for this before, but I have yet to try it myself. You could contact the dev and inquire if the Visualizer/analyzer would be suitable to your needs, if you have questions regarding it’s accuracy or precision. It works with Audiobus, that is what drew my attention to this app.
I have both apeFilter and Bark Filter - both have AUv3 support, come from reliable developers and provide thoroughly decent spectrum analysers for not huge amounts of cash. Or get hearEQ and train your ears instead
apeFilter is great (as are all the apeSoft/Amazing Noises apps) but it doesn't show you a visual representation of playback. It is simply a graph of the filter envelope settings.
Bram Bos Spectrumaker?
Not true. Just tap Analyzer in bottom right corner, you can get a pre and post view of the spectrum. For the non-AU app, this button is in a different place with a different icon (if I remember correctly).
Not true
Bark filter analyser looks like this
May be a bit of over kill but Audio Mastering is very nice.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!?!?!??!
I've been missing this functionality the whole time?!?!?!?
Clearly I suck - man, I should've noticed that by now. I use apeFilter all the time.....
Thanks for pointing that one out, boys! Looks like I need to open my eyes a bit.
Look at it as a free new feature... happy days!
But if I had to recommend one, it would be this one. Exclent!
And (might as well for completeness!) Final Touch has one too
Apparently Jacob Haq also wants developers to create a "producers audio visualizing kit."
